Why would the heir apparent leave the kingdom ? He nor anyone else has or had any expectations this season. He's on track with his plan, probably ahead of schedule.

As long as WH is still the penciled starter for 2024 I don't think anything really changes for him

I don’t think most fans realize most of the big schools usually have 2 WH level backup QBs on their roster every year. Usually they don’t end up being that great and going elsewhere. It’s a crapshoot not a guarantee that he’s gonna be very good, and most likely won’t get there without hard lessons in game experience.
