What does that have to do with this year? You don't think he could improve his decision making from his Freshman year? Really?? Really???

We know he already has a much better arm than JJ will ever have.

I just don't see us being undefeated and climbing the poles much longer w/o a true passing threat. I don't believe JJ gives us that.

I can understand that and I am concerned bout JJ's play in the Vandy game.

you are catching on... closer... getting warmer... just because he is older and has been in the system longer doesnt automatically mean he is better... he could be WORSE! wow that would really be bad huh? he did play a game in 2009, didnt show any improvement and got benched as soon as possible after so that was his sophomore year.

JL has a stronger, more accurate arm with a faster release. If you can't see that then you don't know shite about football!

this...this kid has a great release and solid fundamentals just needs to relax in the pocket a little

I'd like to see JL get a shot, but IMO the record would be about the same with either QB. JJ is mediocre, won't exactly lose the game, but he def. won't win it either. What's so upsetting for me watching JL play is knowing he has the potential to be a terrific QB, but falls horribly short. Don't forget the LA Tech game. True, players on both sides of the ball didn't play well, but JL going 7-22 after waiting for a shot through half a season doesn't make me feel like he would make leaps and bounds this year.

And how would you know unless we give him significant playing time THIS YEAR and SOON?

Nope, your answer is to stick with JJ based on what Lee did against LaTech last year. I guess you're okay with another regular season of 7 or 8 wins if we luck out in a few and an offense ranked in the bottom 3rd of the FBS.

Why do you people want to start Lee? Yeah jj sucked last night but Lee is no better! I

You are partly correct. JJ is not a good QB. You can't say JL isn't better. Everyone said JJ was much improved and he isn't. No one knows if JL is much improved and that includes you.

Then your putting JL in down 7-14 points.

That's kinda slow reaction time imo.
I don't think State can put up 14pts on LSU unless you add a pick6 or fumble TD.

calm down. No one is saying start JL against Moo State. But he deserves to get in for at least a few plays, when we get a solid lead, just to see what he can do. What's to lose at this point?

Despite the debacle that was the 2008 season, I would like to see J. Lee get a series or two not in mopup duty. JJ just doesn't seem to be progressing very well - can't get the O moving often enough. This isn't a white thing - it's a let's win the close ballgames thing.

So what would you do if you're Les Miles?

-Ride it out with JJ and win 7 or 8 regular season games with our anemic passing game

-Roll the dice and give Lee a shot at the starting job and possibly find some offense rhythm to be able to beat Bama/UF/UT/Arky/Auburn and maybe even get into a BCS bowl game

Not going to happen against MooState with JJ at the helm
