I support whoever Miles puts out there, but after last night, I can see that this team can be special if we can find some consistent offense. The defense is going to hold down the opposing team, but without an offense that can sustain drives consistently, the defense will likely wear down. Right now, Jefferson just isn't getting it done, and I think we need to see if Lee can spark the offense.

This is exactly how I feel.

Surprisingly, I'm on this train.

Shouldn't Lee have the chance to show if he has improved?

So, you just want to see how JL looks in game action when the game is still up for grabs so we can see if he has improved?

And if he hasn't? You think we can get a do over from the other team?

I'm not a coach or a college football guru, but isn't that what fall practice and weekly practice are for...to see what improvement is game play worthy?

Before last night I defended JJ and never once wanted to replace him with Lee. After last night, I want to see Lee start and play a full game (no one game didn't change my opinion, but it pushed me over the edge). We have the best trio of wide receivers in the country. Three guys with All-American potential. At least put Lee in the game until he screws up. Give the kid a shot to see if he has improved. I hate seeing all this talent get wasted. If our D can play as well as they did last night all season, I'd take a few pick-6s in exchange for production in the passing game.

yep.

i'll go way beyond that actually. i would like to see JL be given the same amount of patience that JJ has been allowed. give him at minimum the next two full games. as a fan i have seen everything i need to see from JJ

No, I'm finished with LSU running the option. I don't care who is running it. I haven't seen any of our quarterbacks run it properly, and Russell Shepard hasn't bee practicing as a quarterback.

1) La Tech coach was good enough to get an SEC job
2) La Techs defense is ranked 35th, Vandy 70th
3) Last yr the defenses were 60th, and 56th
4) JLee had not started (nor even played really) in 12 straight games, JJ had started 16
5) In 54 min, LSU still hadnt broken 300 yds vs a winless in the SEC defense. JLee drove us for 106 yds in under 6 min
6) The WRs looked mad with JJ. They were smiling with JLee

definitely should be offensive coordinator. so if that doesnt work we can put bailey in and then if he doesnt work we can put TC in and if he doesnt work we can put tolliver in and then the season will be over. good year guys... good year

not good enough. JJ has been "screwing up" by underachieving for long enough. what good does it do to put JL in only to pull him at his first mistake ? again , at this point JL deserves the same opportunity to establish and prove himself as JJ has so graciously been afforded.

Start Lee? No. Bring Lee in if Jefferson falters? Yes. You play who best fits your game plan. Including Shepard.

This from a JJ supporter, BTW.

When he throws for 250+ yds and 2-3 TDs, will you come back here and admit what a stubborn arse you was for wanting to stick with JJ?

Total Offense- #76 352.50 YPG
Rushing Offense- #28 221.00 YPG
Passing Offense- #107 131.50 YPG
Scoring Offense- #64 28.50 ppg
Passing Efficiency- #90
3RD Down Conversion Percentage- #39 46.43%
Red Zone Offense- #110
TOP- #67 29.37

You don't get it? I don't get how just trying out another option at qb, just to make sure that with all the talent Miles has picked up over the last few years that we have no one capable of being #106th in the nation in passing is not a sensible option. So rather than giving a shot to another QB only to see if we can be better than 107th in passing, you want to say "remember la tech and alabama"? WTF? How about, don't put lee in, put freaking barkevious mingo in at QB. I don't care who we try to make work there, I just know that we have someone on scholarship right now that is capable of ranking 106 or better in passing. If not, then we are in deep deep trouble. Remember we rank this high on offense after having played a 2nd and 3rd string acc defense and VANDY! If we don't find a better option, this offensive ranking will only go up as we start to play schools with actual tackle football programs.
