Daniels is absolutely capable of making these plays that CJ Stroud is making against UGA. We have the WR talent as well. I just saw so much hesitancy this season and so much indecision.

I just want to see JD let it rip next year

I think the main problem is JD doesn’t believe in himself. I think he could do what Stroud is doing but I don’t think he does.

He threw for 200 yards and a TD in the first half against this defense 3 weeks ago and wasn’t 100% healthy.

Put up 10 whole pts and threw a pick deep in his own territory.

Does it really matter who’s fault it is? It happened and he had trouble throwing deep TDs. He will have to improve on this part of his game. He needs to be able to throw deep one throw TDs as well as drive the ball downfield and find ways to score when in the RZ. I think play calling can help on that end but play calling definitely wasn’t the issue with downfield passing. We had plenty of options for him to take advantage of. What I want to see is the offense respond to his play, especially the WRs. If he can get the offense to play for him, then he’s taken a huge step. Make those WRs look like the AA talent they are. Make that defense nervous to stop your run game.

Well it matters when you use it to take away from what was a good half of football by him.

Agree with everything else

Points are the absolute only things that matter. He was not very good at productive drives or points towards the season's end. A QB that can throw is more likely to score points and that is clearly all that counts.

You mean the pick that bounced off his receiver’s helmet?

Yes, the high wide throw that deflected off the outreaching receivers hands and bounced off one defender and Bech’s helmet. Bad things happen when you throw off target

Watch Brian Thomas on Monday. I have a feeling he's going to go off and set the stage for a big year next year where Daniels will cut the ball loose and let him go and get it.

At Arizona State Daniels had Brandon Aiyuk, who was a big guy like Thomas, and they had a lot of success with Daniels just hanging it up for him. I think Daniels is more comfortable with the big receivers who have large catch radius.

It’s much more than that.
He doesn’t read the defense very well.
He’s not very good throwing on the run.
He’s scared to step up in the pocket to pass (not run).
He throws a shite deep ball.
He sucks on timing routes.
He sure is fast, though.
