I hope Bert Jones files suit to stop #7 stupidity

Dumb as tradition. Most recent #7 awardees have had awful years.

Then we have legit heisman winner and try to protect their numbers…only to give it away because we promised some kid who we probably paid millions to play. F&@k that kid

Evidently they are:

LSU has retired the jerseys of four of its former players -- halfback Billy Cannon (No. 20), defensive back Tommy Casanova (No. 37), halfback Jerry Stovall (No. 21) and running back Charles Alexander (No. 4) -- and plans to retire former quarterback Bert Jones' No. 7 jersey on Nov. 14.

Only one football number is retired: #20

Retiring a jersey is not the same as retiring a number. We have a 4, two 21s, & a 37 on the roster now, and will have a 7 before the season starts.

LSU policy changed when they issued a rule prohibiting the retiring of numbers in 2007, so since no number had been retired since Cannon's #20, none of the others are retired.
