Run for 400 yards and win this game. Very Stupid Post

I dont think our line can handle that.

It was the USC game when Durham broke out last year.

3 WRs in motion, run the play clock down to 1 second, tunnel screen to Bo Bordelon for a 1 yd gain.

Until LSU proves they can run on a 3 man front, every team with drop 8 or more
USC likely won’t drop 7 all game. They will rarely and possibly never drop 8 since they play a front 4. They like to get pressure on a QB and they will blitz. They may drop some, but this is their identity. I doubt they throw it out the window just because something else worked for Ole Miss.
Also, Ole Miss plays a 3-3-5 as a base and usually keeps two high Safeties. They probably dropped 8 more than normal, but that gameplan wasn’t totally out of the ordinary for them.

Since Tech game every team has played a version of 3 man front with 8 in coverage against LSU and they still can’t run teams out of it so I would be surprised if USCe doesn’t use some version of that defense to neutralize LSU passing attack because they haven’t been able to run, just smart game planning

Line can’t block that many with our run schemes.

They run a 4 man front base and have 2 great D Linemen. They aren’t going to play much, if any, 3 man. Teams don’t change what they are for one game. We would not change from 4 to 3 down linemen if the cases were flipped.

one in the box and drop 10
We still give up 3 sacks in that situation.
Run for 88 yards though.

I hear USCe will put one in the box and drop
And they will still get penetration

You’ve been here for a short time. Don’t act like you know the board.

Have Nuss force it into septupal coverage
Posted on 10/10/25 at 10:34 pm to Tdubs7
Send 4 verticals. Nuss will feel the pressure from the one rusher. He will attempt to scramble but mostly look like a special needs kid playing kickball and gain one yard. 4th and 9, punt.

I love the sheer optimism of the Rant sometimes. Sloan can't call up run plays with only 3DL and we think a single RB is going to eat in this system. I love it.
