Gotta love the consistency! It's August, so as usual, expectations have firmly divorced from reality, and are heading for the stratosphere.

Except for 2019, LSU hasn't had a 10-win regular season since 2012. That's damn near a decade.

We have a new coaching staff. Starting a true freshman at center, who's never played the position. QB battle is up for grabs. That's a lot.

I think this is a good team that will surprise some people, but they will make mistakes along the way. 10 wins is absolutely possible - we have the talent to beat any team on our schedule. Realistically, 8 wins would be a good season. 9 with a chance to make 10 in the bowl game would be phenomenal. 10 regular season wins, Kelly is coach of the year.

Only way we lose to a&m is if the refs repeat 2018

I honestly think ole miss will be the representative from the west in the sec championship.

They will be at best 4th in the SEC West behind bama, us, and atm.

100% spot on! I’d love to go 10-2 but that’s completely unrealistic this year.

Why is it unrealistic? Because tdsngumbo said so? It is most definitely realistic. People act like we do not have the talent to win every game on the schedule and that's just not true because we certainly could do that.

Best guess is 7-5 or 8-4. 8-4 would indicate that Kelly did a very good job.

I’m thinking our absolute ceiling this year is 9-3 but expect probably 7-5, maybe 8-4 with some bounces that go our way.

Kelly is going to have this program on the tracks but he took over a complete dumpster fire. Expecting a 10-2 season is simply unrealistic.

I have us going 10-2 as well

But we’ll beat Arky and lose to A&M

I think it is probably more likely we drop at least 1 or 2 more against UF,Aub, Tenn,FSU, Ole Miss, Miss, or A&M but I do think it is possible and not completely crazy to get to a 10 -11 win season, just not very likely IMO.

losing Boutte, we probably losing every starter on Defense beside Maason Smith and possibly Jay Ward.

We are young everywhere on the field with a lot of young depth in the 2 deep. I think it is very likely we are much improved next year but you may be right that we are 2 years away from really competing for championships.

I don't think people realize how good our DL is going to be. A dominant DL can win a lot of games for you.

I think we are going to be competitive in every game, so special teams will probably play a big role. I wish we had a more experienced kicker.

I'm saying 9-3.

New HC
New coordinators / playbooks
New QB
Transfer portal and roster whirlwind
All American CBs not on roster in dangerous SEC
NIL favoring SEC-W foes at moment

= 10-2?

Nice

why does everyone say we are a year away? It's either this year or probably two years from this season.

You realize every great Tiger season has been an odd year right? Thats just the way it sets up best for us. Too hard in the even years due to schedule.

2003, 2007, 2011, 2015 #1 in first CFP ranking, 2019, umm... hello 2023!!!!
