This would definitely lessen the sting of the two Miles losses. A win in the Sugar Bowl would help lessen the sting of the Bama loss though nothing can take that away completely.

Just wondering, if Tennessee beats Bama in the SEC championship and goes to the Sugar Bowl will the game still not mean as much?

Don't look ahead. When Orgeron was asked this, his reponse was correct: "Florida. Noon. Saturday."

The thing about that Sugar Bowl bid.....

The SEC actually decides who goes where. Teams and bowls let the SEC Office know their preferences but it is Sankey that makes the final call on every game.

That it not good for LSU.

We haven't approached a bowl game of this magnitude in 5 seasons. From here in out, it's about perception. It's our best possibility. A defacto home game on Jan 2? Hell yeah.

If we win out we go to the Cotton Bowl and Auburn or even Tennessee go to the Sugar.

If A&M beats us they go to the Sugar Bowl and we go to Music Cit or CFA Peach.

If we lose both we go to Taxslayer or Liberty. Maybe return to Texas Bowl but would be 2nd year in a row.

In short, we ain't going to the Sugar unless we beat A&M by 21 and auburn is totally embarrassed by Bama.

Do some research before you post. If the SEC champ is in the playoff, the sugar bowl must take the highest ranked SEC team not in the playoffs.

The sugar, along with the chicken bowl are in the playoff rotation.
