So why didn't Alabama make him talk to the NCAA about it? Surely its not simply because he wasn't mentioned by name in the article.
LSU made up a rule - "Will Wade cannot coach until he talks to the NCAA". No one made them make up this rule, and no one is making them follow this rule. Any school could make up this rule at any time with any coach in any sport.

He CAN'T talk to LSU and suspending him is probably the only move that LSU could make at this point.

But, but, but...we suspended our coach. Isn't that the whole rationale- suspend the coach so the NCAA won't be mean to us? And which ineligible players got playing time so that the wins would have to be vacated?
