re: I don't get how people can't see this LSU team is very, very good.

So you’re saying we’re too dumb to run Canada’s system?

Probably even with Auburn
I think that’s being a tad homerish, but we play them on the road

Our own media is down on them. That's why. I'm not sure if they are just trying to sound smart, or if they just repeat what they hear, but I dont think they are being objective.
I think, on paper, to assume AU, UGA, Miami, or A&M is borderline a$$inine. Time will tell.
People who talk about the schedule are morons. You have UGa and UA at home. Your team is one of the most talented teams in the country, in fact more talented than Auburn who beat UGA and Bama last year. No one seems to look at facts like Auburns weak arse O line this year or Bamas suspect secondary thus far.
People just look at names and preseason rankings created by Scott Rabalais and company that can't explain the difference between cover 2 and cover 3.

LSU was a 9 win team last year. From where I sit LSU has improved everywhere from that team except RB.
I agree

No way this team doesn't win ten games.
in any other season I would agree with that also, However this years schedule is insane, We play:
Alabama ranked #1, Georgia #3,(the two returning national championship game teams), Auburn #9, Miami #8, Mississippi St #18. Plus we play two teams just outside the top 25 on the road vs Florida #27 (now with Dan Mullen)and aTm #33 (now with Jimbo Fisher). Then Arkansas, who is always a tough game for us the week after the Bama game, on the road in Fayetteville.
The only other time we played a schedule anything close to this was 2011, but that schedule turned out not nearly as tough as advertised as Florida, Mississippi St, Auburn, and Texas AM all dropped out the poles
So while this team may be much better than last season, it is possible it may not finish with a better record.
But I expect LSU to surprise a lot of teams and prognosticators this season and start turning heads as to how good these tigers can be. It is going to be a very challenging and exciting season

Possibly.
It was terribly sloppy the first few games.

Our schedule this season is a nightmare. We are talented, but unproven. A lot of questions on the O-line and coaching staff as a whole. That leads to people not wanting to write in a successful season. Too much in the air right now to come to any meaningful conclusion.

I’m quite skeptical going into the season.
I agree there is reason for doubt, but it's not all doom and gloom.
The biggest question is about OL play.
New QB doesn't mean worse. Based on admittedly small sample, I expect Burrow to be better than Etling. He seems to have better decision-making, more accuracy, and more athletic ability. Of course, we'll have to see how that plays out.
The D should be good, with better overall depth.
Special teams should be improved.
We'll miss the big play ability of Chark, but the WRs should be good overall. Lot of talent. Perhaps better depth.
But the problem is that it's hard to expect great success without a good OL.
I suppose they could be good. But they could be bad. I don't think any other unit will likely be bad. But the OL might be. I hope not.
Add to that a much tougher schedule, and it could be rough.
But nothing has been played yet.
So, for the time being, I'll drink, yell, and hope for the best.

Stupid or not it was the hot name
yep came in with a lot of hype surrounding him, Canada. " the best in the country"

O couldn’t set his ego and temper aside to try and work with the guy
I think it cut both ways, however Orgeron is the head coach and Canada was the subordinate who is supposed to listen. Turns out Canada was the one with the giant ego, temper and thin skinned bitch who couldn't work with people.

who knows a hell of a lot more about offense than himself.
I would have agreed with that before the season started but not after seeing the season play out and seeing Canada's offense up close and in action at LSU. turns out it was just a lot of hype but no substance.
Ensminger is just a better fit and much better for LSU.

bullshite. Pitt was playing Marshall, Virginia, Ga. Tech, Duke, Syracuse, etc. Canada a made name for himself for the Clemson game
He was known for more than that 1 season. His offense could have worked just fine here if we committed to it. However he was a bad fit personality wise, which is something O should have found out with proper vetting. That said, I’m fine with him making a change, it didn’t work no sense forcing it, I however did not like the hire of SE, it reeks of hiring his buddies.

And NC State got worse on offense.

Yet you think Canada was the sole factor??
He made his name in one game vs Clemson. LSU is really the only big time program he's been OC for. It's not like the doors were being knocked down to get him after he left LSU.

No he didn’t make his name on just 1 game, that’s a false narrative, though if true speaks even worse about O.
