yep. Urban Meyer is a very successful coach. When I see a good coach just being cool with a player leaving and being all nice about that player leaving, my bullshite radar gets activated.

If you follow recruiting, LSU was big on Haskins and IIRC thought we might get him at one point.
Maybe CUM had to make him a promise that he'd be the starter at some point in order to get him to sign.
As an Ohio kid, Burrow was probably so thrilled to be offered by OSU he didn't even attempt to negotiate.

Know how I know that you never played organized sports? In-game passing attempts aren’t the only things propelling players up the depth chart. There’s this thing called practice that coaches also look at. You’re dumb as frick and so is your 500 word monologue

Cardale Jones was in a similar situation as Burrow and we know what happened there. When Braxton Miller couldn't play, JT Barrett got the job. Like Haskins, Barrett is a dual threat QB and is a better fit for the Urban Meyer offense. Being the good coach that he is, the play calling was adjusted when Jones became the QB for the Big 10 and national championship game.
It has been said many times on this board and I think the same thing. Haskins is a better fit for Meyers offense, while Burrow is probably a better fit for our offense.

Any person who believes he wasn't processed, is a moron. Of course he was..this is the definition of what processed is.
Is he a fan solid qb? Sure
No matter how you slice it, he was there 3 years and , all things considered, was not able to take the job.
Karma is a bitch though, and I predict struggles from the qb position at OSU this year. No reason, it's just in the cards. And burrows, if named starter, will have a solid year here.
I'm anxious to see them battle here

What's your point in posting this? If Burrow is the best option for LSU, so be it. If one of the other guys wins the job, so be it.

Processed? Very possible.
Doesn't mean he's not a good QB or UM is full of shite. Maybe, just maybe the other QBs had better running ability than Joe and that fit the offensive scheme better. That way not much change in playcalling while JT was out.

They can both be good QBs. Haskins beat him out. So what.. arron Murray beat out mettenberger. Both turned out pretty good.

I don't know about buried, but I don't think Meyer let the better QB walk out of his program.
He made his decision with Haskins, but of course he didn't want a good backup to leave and clearly has a lot of respect for Burrow.
