Who is the SEC rushing leader as of now?

Is Fournette still in front of Henry, who had only 75 v. Mich. St.?

Nevermind. Henry went to 2067 with last nights running. Two games more and one to go.

Lets look at some stats:

2015 Rushing Yards:
... Henry - 2061 (in 14 games)
... Fournette - 1953 (in 12 games)

2015 Rushing Yards Per Game:
... Henry - 147
... Fournette - 163

2015 Yards Per Carry:
... Henry - 5.7
... Fournette - 6.5

2015 Receiving Yards:
... Henry - 91
... Fournette - 253

2015 Receiving Yards Per Catch:
... Henry - 8.3
... Fournette - 13.3

2015 Yards From Scrimmage:
... Henry - 2152 (14 games)
... Fournette - 2206 (12 games)

2015 Yards From Scrimmage Per Game:
... Henry - 154
... Fournette - 184

Lifetime Stats:
Rushing Yards:
... Henry - 3433 (38 games)
... Fournette - 2987 (25 games)

Receiving Yards:
... Henry - 285 (38 games)
... Fournette - 380 (25 games)

Total Yards:
... Henry - 3718 (38 games)
... Fournette - 3992 (25 games)

Recap. This year Henry had two extra games and barely surpassed Fournette in Rushing Yards but still doesn't surpass his Total Yards. And, in 13 extra games Henry only surpasses Fournette in Career Rushing Yards by 446 but still doesn't surpass Fournette in Total Yards. With two extra games this year Henry only has two more TDs. By nearly every metric Fournette is the superior player; not to mention the losses on the offensive line or that Henry never had to play a Bama defense. If Fournette puts up similar numbers next year and isn't given the Heisman then it'll be a damned Greek Tragedy; he's 8 yards shy of averaging 2,000 offensive yards per season on his career . That's pretty impressive. If our offense can produce a legitimate threat from the air and with Guice pull some of the pressure off of Fournette then look out.

I've never understood the fascination with the Heisman. It rarely goes to the best player and is as political as watching network news.

I hope he wins it and tells them to shove it.

No one should take this award seriously. Here is how Bo Jackson approached the vote

quote:

He is my No. 1 choice to win," Jackson said. "We ex-Heisman winners, we have three votes and we can vote for three players and right now he is my first choice on the list. I say this — if someone from Auburn can't win the Heisman or if Auburn can't win the national championship, I'd rather for it to stay in the state.

So he picked Henry based geography

Fournette only carried the ball over 30 times twice this season (31 and 32 respectively). How many fourth quarters did Fournette sit out this year?

You do know that Fournette averaged 25 carries each game this year, don't you? Henry averaged 25.6 carries a game...not much difference. As for the 2 games you mentioned for padding, both were against Power 5 opponents when Bama's lead was within 2 scores...

LF7 lowest number of carries in a game was 19...Henry had 4 games where he had less than 19 carries, including one with less than 10...and he was always used sparingly in games against non-Power 5 / FCS opponents, in games where he could've greatly "padded" his stats...

Fournette is a great back and had a great season; I love watching him run. Henry had a great season with his biggest games comin' in big games. Don't know why fans on both sides can't just leave it at that. My guess is next year, LF7 balls out, sets lots of SEC records, and goes down as one of the greats...

The only way LF7 gets screwed on Heisman is LSU loses three in a row. Which is possible with the current regime

Lf7 was not one of the top 5 players in ncaa this year. Top three then the qb's from Oklahoma and navy had better years.

Come on. He didn't get screwed. He ran for 31, 91, and 108 in consecutive bad November losses. While Henry was going for 200+.

He was lucky to get those yards after LSU was down and had to pass. He could have easily ran for 150 in each of the last two losses but the score mandated passing only.

I can too. Miles didn't do him any favors this year. Sitting him on the bench early in the season. Running him 100x's at Bama getting 0.01 yards/carry lowering his overall average.

Even assuming that's true, Heisman voters don't pay attention to that kind of stuff. The Heisman is stat-driven and team-driven.
