Their park is small but they definitely have power in their lineup. They would probably have the home run advantage anyway.

It isn't going to settle anything, this is just emotional.
Sure, I want to beat the hell out of Tenn. But, it won't settle anything. Both will likely be 1 seeds in their Regionals, will host Supers, and both have a decent chance of Omaha. THAT, is where it will be decided, just like 2023.

If we’re both still #1/2 going into that series then it’s definitely going to be hyped. Past 2 national champions and games will be televised on ESPN. we’ll have warmer weather and could have record crowds at the box too.

I think it is a combination of being a bit shorter and a much higher altitude than many or most other stadiums, in the SEC in particular. Relevant dimensions for comparison purposes.

892 ft isn’t going to have a noticeable effect on carry. I lived in Knoxville for awhile. I didn’t have to adjust my carry distance playing golf. It’s their park dimensions. They would still hit a lot of home runs with their lineup but not as many

Tennessee has a bunch of 5’11” 185 guys hitting homers more impressive than Jared Jones. Every year. It makes you wonder.

Tennessee is a powerhouse at the moment and has no signs of slowing down . I think them and the Tigers will be a pain in the arse for each other this year and years to come . Looking forward to the great battles

Their park dimension allow everyone in the line up to basically swing out of their shoes every at bat because the risk of simply flying out is lower.
They get guys that can hit, and then let them go crazy.
Because they get guys that can actually hit, their hitting doesn't really drop off when they go to other parks.
They've also had largely the same coaching staff the entire time Vitello has been there. The S&C guy left for a year to work for the Cubs, but came back. Their old volunteer assistant went to an on field role at Houston, but came back as the third paid assistant this past offseason. So the staff that was there in year one, is there now.

Looking at the stats it looks like almost all SEC teams would. LSU is near the bottom.
