What was our average per carry against Bama 1-9-2012?

What was our Average points scored against Bama over the last two times we played them? How many times did we get into their end zone?

You koolaid drinkers cant see that we have problems on offense that arent gonna get us past Bama at all in the year 2012?

Come on. Get real here.

I wouldn't call it vanilla, I would call it "just enough"

But we won so f it and move on.

I would.

Are you not happy? What offense should we be running coach? Should we install a new offensive scheme and sacrafice a year doing so?

Defenses are very clearly convinced that we will run the ball on third and short every time.... and they're correct.

I have few objections to our first and second down playcalling. It's THIRD DOWNS that leave us so frequently fourth and short that drive me nuts. We have far fewer big gains than most teams with similar talent because it's unpredictability that springs those things.

If you ever question the great Les and our offensive system, clearly you don't know what you're talking about, and play too much Madden.

You might have a point, especially since Miles keeps losing all of those games with that boring offense.
While on the other hand the critics are....................? Exactly what are ya'll doing except harping?

Didn't you know that we play Bama every week now? Every fricking game we play has to be measured against Alabama for some reason. It's not enough to just win, we have to do better than Alabama did.

People here are obsessed with Alabama. I'm not sure why they consider themselves LSU fans at all considering the amount of ball washing they do for Saban and Bama.

There is the problem...
You think that offense beats 'bama?
Our personnel are brought in to run THIS offense. One of the reasons our D is so good is because of THIS offense...
Big O lines, big tough runners, two back sets are the future for big time programs...we are ahead of the trend...

FWIW, Bama only got into LSU's endzone once in the last two games (and that lone touchdown was in mop-up time). And, we've won 9 of the last 13 games vs Bama and 2 of the last 3.

At Florida scares me more than Bama. If we can get our pass protection cleaned up, the only thing that can beat this LSU team is ourselves and hostile road environments IMO.

Bingo -- We need to be a little less predictable. Deception is needed, at least occasionally, for good play calling.

Our offense is plain but it works for us. I wish in some of those 3rd & shorts we would pass it. These teans kno LSU going to run run run just off reputation so a start coach would chang it up & pass sometime...to keep it balanced

I agree. I have made excuses for les but I think this is correct. I think we don't execute either. If players blocked or caught the ball, it would be a different story.

Three different offensive coordinators sice Jimbo left and the same shite plays run ever since.

I think the play selection varies too much for this to be true.
Jimbo was around 26-28 pass att/gm as far as I can check back to '03. I think he slung it way more previous, around 35/gm.
Wiz was 31, 30, 27 and 23 his last year.
Krags/Studs 20 in '11, and 23.8 this year.
If WRs weren't dropping passes, you wouldn't think this way......and coaches might feel more comfy upping the attempts.

To many runs on 3 and 2 or more. To many runs on first down.

So you missed LSU's first play of the game then.

I'm not saying I kept track of all the play types, that seems like an incredibly crappy way to watch a game. They may not have run another screen the whole game, but they did run one.
