re: I am actually very optimistic about next year. Call it bias, but it looks good to me

I just don't see it. Not just because Daniels is a more dynamic QB than Nuss, but also because I don't think our returning receivers are anywhere close to Nabors and BTJ.
Sorry to inform you but LSU will trot 4 future NFL WRs onto the field next year in Aaron Anderson, Chris Hilton, Nic Anderson & Barion Brown.

EVERYONE IS GOING TO BE GREAT AND THERE WILL BE NO GROWING PAINS AT ALL!!!
The question marks going into next season will be how quickly the offensive line can gel & how much of a jump the defense makes with the returning players, true freshmen (DJ Pickett) & portal transfers. The offensive skill positions are absolutely stacked.

Beat Clemson week 1 and I'll be excited.

With all of your replies mostly sounds like you just don't want to get your balls crushed on Game 1. I am friends with a former analyst. This is the first season he seems excited about. I'll trust his judgment since breaking down film was his job for good bit. I'll still have the "wait and see" approach but I never thought any of the prior teams had enough "dudes"

NOBODY thought Nabors or BTJ were as good as they were going into their final years at LSU
shite, you could even say the same about Jefferson for sure and probably Chase too.
People forget that they didn’t always look at players the way they do now. Guys like I previously mentioned (chase is probably an exception) were rarely considered to be 1st rounders….. until they were and played like it

All this is good news
But we will lose a game from poor special teams play, and a fist will hit a table
….Again
He’s closer but still not covering all the weak spots

You’re referring to Broski. Someone could post water is wet and he’s show up to argue and be the contrarian like it’s his job.

I have no idea how this is a controversial post. Daniels, Nabors, and BTJ were far superior.

Our RB stable is good enough only if our OLine is good enough. IF you watched any of OSU game and PSU game, you would be aware that their Oline opened big holes for their running backs. LSU has to get at least close to that so that our play action passing game has a chance because the safety and LB are hesitating one or two steps toward stopping the RB.
I personally think/hope that the new center is going to stabilize our oline. Moving our too tall center to guard has to help the pocket not to collapse right in front of Nuss more often than not. Lots to be hopeful about. If coaches keep doing the same things (play calling, play design, lack of creativity on offense....yes that's you Sloan and BK) I don't see much improvement next year on offense. If they get creative, we could be exceptional.

This should be the best team we have had on both sides of the ball since Kelly's arrival. I am definitely optimistic.

All of that is good,
At Clemson
At Ole Miss
At Alabama
At Oklahoma
That’s a tough schedule. Three of those coaches are under pressure to make the playoffs, like BK. The offense needs to start the year ready to go. Also, if Durham gets injured, we are in trouble at RB. Hope KJ figures it out in the offseason.
