This probably qualifies as a shite post, but I'll go ahead.

Who do you bring in as DC if CEO survives the season? You have to have someone that is going to stablize it ASAP. Proven RECENT track record.

With the Auburn firing Gus Bus rumors you have to think about Kevin Steele.

I think his 2015 defense was below par. However at Auburn he has consistently stout defense. It would certainly stop the bleeding and stablize us. We can continue to recruit our 4-3 Dline guys as well.

What are your thoughts about getting Steele to return to BR?

He should have never been let go in the first place. I love Steele’s defense.

Yeah, he's always got a top 20 squad over at Auburn. Gus getting shite canned might work out for us.

Hopefully him and O are buddies from working together that year.

Kevin Steele is not a retread you moron. He is one of the top defensive coordinators in the country actively coaching.

Steele being good at Auburn makes LSU fans forget how much of a joke he was in 2015 at LSU.

I remember hearing the problem with him while he was here, was that the defense was too complex. But idk how much accuracy there is to that.
Obviously he’s a great DC. We all saw the game plan he put together against us last year. By far the best defensive effort anybody had against our offense last year. And the fact that his game plan was completely different than anything they ran all year, and it was unique, yet their players were able to run it efficiently without a lot of frick ups tells me he’s good with the players and kinda contradicts the “too complex” statement I’ve heard.
However, I also remember hearing that he went to Auburn to get back in Alabama where he (with a certain amount of years) could receive full pension from Alabama Edu. Which if true means he’s looking to retire.
But.. if all those old rumors are inaccurate, I’d definitely take him. Obviously he fields a good product but also, year in and year out those guys play HARD. Since he’s been there I’ve consciously noticed how hard EVERYONE on their defense hits. And that speaks to the “culture” of his defense.

Unfortunately, I honestly can’t see Steele coaching for O. He probably looks at O as a big joke.

Give Arnett 2 million and leave him alone. Let him build his own D staff.

Wasn’t Steele the guy who gave up 70 to WVU in 11 and was so out of it he called plays that weren’t even in the playbook

Kevin Steele isn't leaving the state of Alabama until he gets his retirement, idk when that is.

He wasn't"let go".

He left because he had a lot of years in the Alabama state retirement system and wanted to maximize that by working at Auburn.

No. In 2011 Steele was DC at Clemson when they won the ACC title and had the 13th ranked defense in the nation.
3rd and Chavis was at LSU in 2011.

Steele’s defenses are really not that great in my opinion. His defenses embody the “bend and often broken” mantra.

No thanks.

Ohhh I gotcha. My mistake. I assumed it was LSU related with the word “you” being there. Now I realize was a typo.
