One thing not to expect: the game getting moved. The SEC carefully recrafted a 10-game conference-only schedule with five road and five home games and isn’t likely to upset that balance. I figure the game could certainly get postponed, but not moved.

Either that is Rabalais giving us his unsolicited and baseless opinion, or someone at LSU is just trying to stall making a decision until the last (reasonable) minute.

If there was ANY year to pull off a "last minute" change of venue, this would be it. LSU is not going to be losing a full Tiger Stadium. For their part, it wouldn't take that great of resources for Mizzou to pull off a quickly organized home game. You're talking 10k-15k fans, at best, attending the game in Columbia. I'm sure both LSU and Mizzou would MUCH rather the game be played this week than 11/7.

Perhaps they are just bad at PR, but how the SEC doesn't have a fairly reasonable plan for hurricane impacts is beyond ridiculous. It's not like its some shock that hurricane could strike the SEC states during the months of Sept/Oct. It's only been happening for millions of years.

Play in Missouri with no fans. That makes the logistics of pulling this off super simple.

Who really gives a shite if there are fans. Move the game to Missouri and sell tickets. I’m sure any LSU fan in that region would love a shot to see them play and it’s not like 25% capacity will have a massive impact. Make them split the gate or something, but get the game played and don’t make it a sterile experience.

Page 5 and not one mention of power outages. Even if the storm is in Mississippi by game time what is the possibility that Tiger Stadium is without power or does the place have a generator capable of lighting the stadium up?

Because it’s an obvious potential impact.

Unless something significantly changes today, I think most realize the game isn’t being played in BTR Saturday. We’ve moved on to figuring out Plan B.

With the way the tracks have pulled together and agreed on at least a CAT 1 sometime Saturday it is absolutely going to be played in Columbia.

Though moving the game to Missouri seems like a viable option, sources tell Geaux247 that pulling the resources on such short notice
Pulling resources, there would be the same number of fans as a local high school game. shite, just ice down some drinks and heat up some hotdogs....

Jesus. This can't be that hard.

I live in Columbia & there are quite a few LSU fans here. Also active alumni groups in St Louis and Des Moines that travel here for LSU baseball. We always outnumber Mizzou fans at the baseball games, and have had some great tailgates.

just saw on The Weather Channel that Delta is now a Cat 4 with 130 MPH winds!!!

Could this also effect other games in the SEC?
