Usually, Hunt is delusionally pumping up an LSU team when they are struggling. Now he complains we don't have a hired hitting coach but never said shite when Maneiri had kids volunteering.

He then also mentions its only who you have hitting and that coaching won't do it.

Hunt usually has better takes than that, I'll have to listen and see if you're embellishing his words a bit.

I'll have to give it a listen. Normally I like what Hunt has to say but if he really said that, that's ridiculous.

All of them?

You must like him enough to listen.

it’s hilarious when people trash radio guys not just for a bad take, but for being bad at their careers when they had to listen in order to post about it.

Hunt has his job for a reason. If you don’t like him, don’t listen.

It’s common knowledge that through camps, under-the-table donations, etc. Wanaka will get his money, and probably pretty good money.

Where the rubber meets the road, he is anything but a “volunteer” coach.

That's good becuase I was wondering who the hell would "volunteer" instead of having a real job.

Johnson has a philosophy and Wanaka has carried it out for him at multiple stops prior to LSU. It was easy to see this one coming from the time Johnson was announced.

He’s easily the most level headed baseball guy in BR

Johnson is the hitting coach. Don’t really care who else they hire

This could not be further from the truth. All off season all he talked about was how he doesn’t see the lineup being productive.

Before conference when the bats were on fire all he talked about was how they wouldn’t be hitting SEC pitching.

The guy is as pessimistic as they come. It’s one of the things that makes him likable honestly.

I think the OP is a touch of a stretch. I said Johnson and Wanaka’s teams mashed in Tuscan and it’s a good thing to have that brain trust together. But I added that I put more stock in recruiting guys that can hit than coaching hitters. Obviously I’m really excited about Johnson’s ability to recruit. Lastly I said that I could be totally wrong and they may have some method/approach that blows me away.

“Not excited about the hire” doesn’t really paint the picture.

Well, you could say he was as realistic as they come because he was right.

Money isn’t the only reward in life. But I don’t know much about hitting.
