Your negative vibes won’t work tonight. I’m drinking Crown and watching LSU vs Clemson after my DVD came in today. Suck on that b###!

Both are baby’s not even crawling, O is going to bring in a transfer . TJ will get rid of the baby fat by next year both will mature should be interesting. TJ has had no expert coaching let’s see what they bring .

Finley won't see the field here.

Opinions seem to vary wildly on this kid's future at LSU. I've seen predictions of him being anything from starter by mid-season this yr. to he'll transfer after 2 yrs. I watched him play live once and watched clips. No doubt about his arm strength. I would have to say though, my opinion of him at this point would be closer to yours. You can't teach 6'7" with a Howitzer attached to your shoulder. You can take that baby fat off him and develop him in the skills of being a QB. We shall see.

I’m excited to see Max and Findley compete, not happy about LSU’s lack of depth at QB

Go get a transfer portal QB option to be a backup in case of injury. Johnson and Finley won’t be ready with this offense as true freshmen. It’ll also expose which of them won’t be able to handle competition since likely both will never stay all 4 years anyway.

Transfer QB is almost a certainty.

He'd need a Joe Burrow kind of season for that to happen and that's not happening.
First, it’s not necessary for him to have a Joe Burrow kind of season to go pro as a RS-Jr. plenty of Jr QBs leave early and none of them had ever had a Joe Burrow type season.
Second, if the Oklahomas and Ohio States of the world can continue to be playoff teams year in and year out despite losing QB starters, there’s no reason we can’t too. Though Myles is largely unproven, at this point, he has a lot of tools working in his favor including having the nations best WR corps to get the ball to, having had a lot of experience in the system, maturity, etc.

Just read this in The Advocate from Coach O, We have Max John son and TJ Finley. We expect those guys to be fighting and we’ll also have Peter Parrish here.”
Apparently from his comments, Coach O expects Parrish to return in the fall. Also it was reported that Finley took second team reps.

I see a ton of potential in Finley. Kid is smart, knows how to read defenses, can make the throws and also use his legs when necessary. Johnson is also good, but more in an athletic and raw sense. Both good players in their own right.

LSU has far more quality depth than in years past, just not the experience of playing. Brennan will do well, it’s him getting injured and lack of a quality backup that concerns me. They’re so young!

If Brennan has the season that many LSU fans and insiders are predicting, next season he will be playing in the NFL....
I would pump the breaks on this kind of talk. MB may be great, but to suggest he might leave early based on his body of work up until now is way, way premature.
Also, I am not too concerned about PP being suspended and potentially leaving the team.
With the new redshirt rule, assuming no catastrophic injury to MB, we can still play both freshman in 4 games each (8 games total) and they can each keep their redshirts.
We generally don't see the backup QB get any snaps in 3 to 5 games anyway, so it all should work out, IF MB stays healthy.

You have such a clear and obvious agenda.
You spin LSU losing a QB in football, into a positive thing.
You take an article about Mainieri hugging a baseball player and spin it into a negative.

Alot of criticism was allowed and directed at Coach O over the last few years, but similar criticism of Mainieri was quickly blocked and anchored. Clear double standard, but I’m just following the rules. Coach O is setting a high standard at LSU, this thing with Parrish is not something to criticize Coach about, because we clearly know the standard he is setting.
Mainieri, unlike Coach O, doesn’t appear like a tough sturdy leader. He appears shaky. Friends who have season baseball tickets for years are giving them away, though still loyal to LSU, they don’t like what they’re seeing in baseball. And you try to fault me, when I’m merely expressing what others are feeling. Not saying Mainieri should go, but this is definitely getting old among some LSU baseball fans.
Coach O is killing it, Mainieri is not, if you don’t see the difference, that’s your problem to deal with. So deal with it!

Max Johnson
That's still the most awesome athlete (or Porn Star) name ever, and in an understated way.
'Member when all the Gemini astronauts met at a hotel under the assumed name of Max Peck in the 1960s? That's the same joke from a different generation.
Ole Max's father knew exactly what he was doing.
