I’m oddly calm. After winning last night I’m satisfied that we ended Tennessee’s season instead of the other way around. Am I nervous? Sure, but I’m too busy working to dwell too much on it. At game time I’ll be on the edge of my seat with every pitch from both teams.
Win or lose, it’s so much fun watching LSU in Omaha so I just try to enjoy it. When I was younger I looked up to these “men” in purple and gold and now that I’m nearing 40 and a father, I’m just happy for these kids wearing purple and gold.
Funny how time and age change your perception.

I'm feeling pretty good but - I am mixed. Nervous.
#1 Going back to 2016, no team has gone undefeated from Regionals all the way through the Championship Series. Every National Champ has taken an L or 2 along the way. Wake is currently 7-0. They're due to take an L.
#2 Our pitching is on life support. IF we're being honest, We are down to pitchers #6 - #10 or #11 or whatever. It will take some serious managing and efforts tonight to keep Wake down.
#3 Our offense is due for a breakout game. The most runs that have been scored in a game is 6 so far. I'm optimistic we can get to 8 or 9 tonight. Someone has to. We have the talent to. We're due.
#4 I am at peace. We're one of the last 4 teams standing and it's been a helluva ride and an awesome season. Would love to get a W today and HOPE we get Skenes tomorrow for a shot to advance....but I am not taking to da Twitter or TD if we get knocked out tonight.
