it's been a good start for BK in terms of record all things considered. i'd love to see us up and thump notre dame in a bowl game, that would be something.

the defense has to get fixed pronto

I want to say B+ as well but that still feels like underappreciation.

He's more likely than not going to finish 20-7 with a division title, and he started with 1/3 a football team

last year solid A

so high B maybe

Last year was definitely not an A. 3 poor losses plus getting whipped in Atlanta

I think B- overall is fair

I would agree with you that lsu never has been and never will be a level or character a handful of schools are who recruit kids for different pitches

You can’t admit the program wasn’t rotten by the time Ed orgeron was fired? There’s no way you can say with a straight face that Ed orgeron maintained the culture Saban and Les had

I mean the talking point around here for years is that with Louisiana talent, any schmuck off the street could win 9-10 games at LSU.

Your lord and savior proved that a guy off the street can also steer the program into the fricking ditch in only two seasons.

ETA: Downvote away bitch, because you’ve got nothing to respond with.

If he got most of the starters to sign then A, if he makes several changes in coaches this offseason A if none of the above B+

The irony is so painful that he’s suggesting any idiot could win 9+ games every season when his lover derailed 2 decades of excellence

And that talking point is dead wrong. See Napier and the last half dozen Miami coaches. Sure, La is loaded with talent but it doesn't begin to approach the sheer quantity out of Florida and look what those "schmucks" have done down there.

People saying that about Miles and Orgeron were wrong and people saying it about Kelly are wrong.

B+, agreed.

CBK's dismal record against highly ranked teams continues. That has to change. It is not an O-fer, but losing to ranked OM and TNs of the SEC can't continue in the coming years. Just a fact of life in the SEC.

Doing what he has done with inheriting 39 scholarship players is worthy of a high grade. Now it is time to build a championship roster, especially on defense, doubly for DBs, and get them the coaching and development worthy of such.

Last year an A: SEC Championship and win over BAMA year 1 was impressive. This year a C: no excuses for why this wasn’t a playoff team with our offense…at some point defensive issues fall back on BK…we have the dudes to at least be a middle of the road D. Average them together for a B for his time in BR so far.

Where did you come up with this? We are currently 9-3. With a bowl win we would be 10-3.

Bk gets a C

Great observation on Kelly vs this group. I also agree he gets a B for the hand he was given but he has got to make some homerun defensive hires. Kelly is 12-4 in the SEC in 2 years. That is 3rd behind Saban and Smart with alot less talent. Really need to get some playmakers on defense to build around some good young players but house has got to go and a the db coach as well.

Year 1 - worst Special Teams in school history
Year 2 - worst Defense in school history

Grade - C- and that’s being generous
