For the positigers it is just wait til November when the excuses fly
For the Negatigers its chiite on everything the coaching staff tries to do and after the first loss its "See I told you so." Their insecurities and mental inferiority complex wants to be more right than not. Anything rational or common sense that don't jive with the Negatiger rantarded mind set is just an excuse and to be scoffed at. Pathetic....
Basically a section of the fan base can up and quit being LSU people (alumni or not) turn in their P&G badge and relocate to Gump or Webel land and become born again. The rest of us don't need y'all. Don't care if they will no longer spend their money on LSU and if TAF. LSU will find solid supporters who won't crap on it any chance they get.

no arguments but if were being honest...we havent been truly top-5 in a while....and its time.
Lsu is still a top 5-10 program but i get what youre saying. Its time for at least a top 5 finish. Its been 4 years.

I'm ok with 2 losses as long as the 2nd loss doesn't occur until the playoffs or a hard fought game in the SEC championship game.

10-2 is a good season every year, these are kids we are putting crazy expectations on year in and year out for Christ's sake

I mean that making a statement like "there's no reason we shouldn't curb stomp every team we play" is fricking retarded when you consider how tough our schedule is.
Our offense should be miles ahead of the 2011 one and if the defense is anything close to 2011 (generating pressure, causing a lot of turnovers), we should beat everybody but Bama by 2 TDs.
Remember both Bama games were the only games we didn't beat our opponents by 2 TDs or more in 2011. That year we played 19th ranked SEC East division leader UGA, 4th ranked BCS bowl winner Oregon, 5th ranked BCS bowl participant Arkansas (whose only losses were to LSU, Bama, and Ohio St), and 17th ranked BCS bowl winner WVU (all rankings are what they finished with that year).

Apathetic...because I would not be the least bit surprised.
With Miles, I have resigned myself to averageness with occasional flashes of quality. LSU will not win another NC with him as coach.
Period.

My benchmark is making the playoffs or a NY6 bowl. Beyond that it gets really difficult to predict.

But, a program must move forward and reach its goals. And yet it must not regress. Not doing a sure upgrade is risky and can do worst than become static.
Agreed. Its almost unheard of to hire 3 really successful head coaches in a row. That coupled with me having no confidence in Alleva to make a good hire makes me worry about Miles leaving for an unknown.

These are the type of posts that make me seem like im a miles defender when i just post facts about his tenure.
In what universe is the best tenure in lsu history, average.
How is the 7th best win % in sec history( during the most dominant era of sec football ever), average?
How is the best win % in lsu history, average?
Since his hire no program has beaten more ranked teams. How is that average?
Since his hire no program has been ranked in the top 25 more seasons? How is that average?
Miles has the most top 25,most top 20, most top 15, most top 10, and most top 5 finishes in lsu history. How is that average?
I swear some of you hate Miles more than you love lsu. You live in this alternate universe where Miles' tenure hasnt been the best tenure in lsu history.
NONE OF THE ABOVE STATEMENTS ARE MY OPINIONS. THEY ARE FACTS ABOUT MILES' TENURE.

not a fan of playing second fiddle. this program is capable of so much more than embarrassing losses to Arkansas and ole miss and the repetitive blown leads to Alabama (with some non competitive games sprinkled in). 2 national titles in the past 13 seasons prove what the program is capable of. PLAYOFFS?!! were haven't sniffed a sec cg in 5 years. cant even find our way into a new years bowl. its put up or shut up for miles.

Very well said Higgins. This team has EVERYTHING to be in the top 5-10 every year. Like Bama. But what's the real reason we are not????? The world may never know. And the lsu blind homers will never admit.
Posted on 4/28/16 at 11:25 am to Solo Cam
Happy? No, but I'd be okay with it. Going 10-2 season after season is a very rare thing. Firing a successful coach so you can hope for a title one day just isn't worth it.
Anyone who just doesn't like Miles can take comfort in the fact that he is getting older and will retire before too long. In the meantime the team will continue getting 9-11 wins season after season. When he does go he'll be replaced by another top coach.
Why would anyone want LSU to pay out enormous sums to Miles to make that happen earlier?

Unless that 10-2 record miraculously wins the West, I would feel that it is high time for Miles to retire to a life of daffy local commercials and stammering personal appearances.
We should win the West and the SEC with our returning talent.

Off topic but I can really see Les being the next Lee Corso on College Gameday after a couple years away from the game.
