160 Ft Wide!!!!!!!!!!
72 Ft High!!!!!!!!!!

quote:

This time the adage works at the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington Thursday, when the Cowboys turn on the world's two largest high-definition video displays, each 160 feet wide and 72 feet high.

The two Mitsubishi Diamond Vision video boards, one facing the Cowboys' sideline and the other facing the visitors' sideline, run from approximately the 25-yard line to the 25-yard line.

I don't know if "cheesy" is the right word. There would be no place to even put it! Hold it up with cranes like in the '82 Notre Dame game, I think it was.

Can anybody photoshop those dimensions over the North endzone? I can't imagine what that would look like.

90 ft above the field...over the sidelines, it won't be in the field of play.

There was a Raiders kicker who hit the suspended screens in the Superdome back in the 80s. The screens were lowered for a concert either the week before or week after.

So to answer the question in the article - "this has never been done before" - the Superdome had 4 screens suspended over the field.

If I wanted to watch the damn game on TV, I would have stayed home and not come to the stadium.

Emmitt Smith forever is a favorite of mine since punking Owens for kneeling on the star.

I just don't get this obsession with the various screens in the stadiums and everyone wanting to brag about having the biggest. Bunch of size queens.

Just remember that Obama's call for a 100 Million dollar cut in his federal spending budget wouldn't even get a down payment on this stadium..

How is that for perspective on both accounts?

2 Billion for a stadium is over the top

100 Million at the federal level is chump change

Nice try MR obama....think Jerry Jones Big next time you talk about cuts in spending

He's a favorite of mine too, but if you mean the guy who actually knocked TO off the star, that was George Teague.
