How long do you think it will take for you to let go of the negative from the last couple of years and be able to celebrate what was accomplished in 2019?

I seriously doubt he would show up when LSU no doubt recognizes the 2019 team in 2029, as it would still likely be too raw.

But do you think he even shows up at a 25 year recognition of the team? I doubt it.

In the end, how will history look back at the Ed Orgeron era at LSU?

A Local guy that inherited a gold mine minus good QB play. Found a Heisman QB and had 1 special season. And then ran the program to 25 year lows.

It is what it is.

Probably...

Should have a lot less stress here soon enough.

I still love that 2019 ride despite the crash ending we have had since then. I agree though Ed likely is never stepping foot back in the stadium

Yeah.

This isn’t going to be an amicable parting of the ways. Too much bitterness.

My guess is like with Les Miles, Dale Brown, John Brady etc that the tensions will fade over time unless O is too immature to realize why he was let go.

If O is just retired at that point, of course he shows up and people will cheer. If you are bitter 20+ years after a guy is let go, you're a sad sad individual.

He's just not a great coach, that's all. He didn't get us the death penalty. We're not going to fall from grace after two shite years. We're going to be fine. I see nothing positive in holding a grudge on a coach that just couldn't handle the job.

He will be remembered fondly for 2019. Just like every coach. Not many coaches retire at the same school and leave on their own terms

this is correct.

Everyone knows O is a poor head coach who made terrible coaching hires. But the stars aligned in 2019 with Burrow and Brady. But that was clearly a one-time aberration.

Much like Gene Chizik with Cam and Gus.

But Chizik gets more respect because he was a very good DC before his head coaching stint at Auburn.
