How will people react when Polian is the ST coach next season?

I know people think Polian will be fired but I doubt it happens this offseason unfortunately. He and Kelly are good friends. Kelly knows with the term on his contract he doesn't have to fire anybody right away because no matter what he has 6-7 years.
Just wondering how people will view Kelly if he goes into next offseason with Polian and Denbrock in their same roles?

Well Woodward's job is riding on Kelly's success. So at some point if staff changes aren't made he will step in I'm sure.

He sucks, but our problems are so much greater than him.
Good special teams play, we lose by 3 touchdowns instead of 4.

This is BK's best friend. He's not going to can him mid-week against Florida. There needs to be a change at the end of the year
BK has made some mind-numbing decisions with personnel and coaching. Most notably letting go of McMahon and making Myles Brennan 3rd string QB.. just dumb shite

The irony here is, Polian’s relationship with Kelly is the exact same as Kelly’s with Woodward.

Kelly won’t hesitate to can the entire staff. He did it when he had a down year at Notre Dame and came back and won 11 games

I hope people understand that Kelly is not going to be told anything about any decision making for at least one or two more seasons. Relax everyone. Give your fingers a rest. We’re at Kelly’s mercy for awhile.

Exactly.
I imagine our safeties or QB coach will be on the chopping block if we 100% have to have a dedicated STs coach.
Polian will have some nominal title like "TEs coach" a la Tim Brewster and recruit 85-90% of the time

His job was on the line then. His career hung in the balance if ND fired him.
This is his retirement job and Denbrock & Polian are his longtime buddies. He wanted them to get the payday too.

I know I’ll be pissed. Special teams has been pathetic since game 1 with no improvement.

Who is he responsible for recruiting? Which recruits wrioisly care if Polian is on staff? Frank can be RC and we wouldn't miss a beat.
