This post and you are the fricking reason why everyone is in such a panic!!!

LSU Football is the least of my worries if the panic persists.
Panic -sudden uncontrollable fear or anxiety, often causing wildly unthinking behavior.
Panic is the operative word. It would be one thing if all of this was well thought-out precautionary measures, but it is not.....it is panic (which never helps anything). A lot of things will be cancelled, adjusted or postponed bc of panic....and it's going to cost a lot of institutions and a lot of working folks a great deal of money.

This madness will be over with by September.
Still can’t wrap my head around the mass hysteria with this pneumonia/flu virus. Such a damn shame.

Saban has already commissioned a bubble to practice in that leads to the locker room. LSU needs to keep up.

It's definitely a huge overreaction but there's too much uncertain characteristics with the virus. You don't need another strain running out there that could compete alongside the flu as something common with the potential to mutate into something worse. Not to mention it being shutdown by summer is impossible for anyone to say since it hasn't even been around for a year. It has similar characteristics as flu so they're HOPEFUL it can be shutdown by humidity/summer.
The major concern is people with weak immune systems and old people. They have a decent shot at dying since there's no vaccine which is what this comes down to. Vaccine. You have none so you have to contain it until you have one out on the open market as best you can. If it lingers all year then it's going to be a problem.
Our bodies haven't been exposed to it to build immunity up so the weaker people are extremely vulnerable to this strain. The more it infects, the slower it gets stronger with potential to mutate. If it mutates to airborne it just adds to the problems.
It probably will die down in summer and this is definitely an overreaction killing economy. Some countries have done a way better job than the US containing it. Taiwan and Israel were proactive on jumping on it immediately and shut it down quickly.

AGREE...we have more fricking brain dead people walking on this planet than ever before... more people die EVERY frickING YR from the FLU than this pussy shite but yet whatever these weak minded people are told by the media and/ or the fricked up government we live under they fricking believe...300 cases of Covid 19 resulting in 20 deaths compared to 46,000 cases of the flu resulting in 8,000 deaths a YEAR, but less get panicky about a fricking virus that the heat is going to rid of in the upcoming summer months ...it’s time for an all out revolution if you ask me..it’s time to weed the BS out... bring it fricking on... bombs away, frick IT...lol:
This was about the dumbest shite I've seen in a while... Do you realize how fast this has spread since the first cases in China? How there is no cure or vaccine...How it is literally spreading faster than any goddamn disease ever seen??? Its a literal pandemic you f*cking Moron.

It’s funny the people who are saying this is some media bs, are the ones who are essentially repeating exactly what they heard recited on the media of their choice. This ain’t the time to watch Fox News bro. This shite is dangerous because of its incubation period and is more than twice as deadly as the flu. Suck it up that Trump lied about what this was for 12 weeks and you feel dumb that you believed him. Now let’s move on with our lives and get thru it as a country, so don’t blame the media on informing the public of what this is. The NBA doesn’t cancel a season because of media spin. Italy doesn’t quarantine a country because of media spin. Smart people know the difference, get your head out the sand.

Heat may not help at all. Tom Hanks just contracted Covid-19 in Australia in late summer there. No one knows if temps rising with mean Covid 19 receding.

Are your parents or grandparents still living? You might just have your priorities misplaced.

I would guess things will return to somewhat normal by football season, if not back to complete normal.

It is the flu!....for crying out loud! Amazing how the media can influence people.

Some of you are bunch of damn idiots. Regardless of what you believe in the media, the WHO and CDC are extremely worried about the spread of this disease. All of those on here with epidemiology degrees and public health experts with all of this knowledge should be volunteering there time at John Hopkins with the incident command team. It’s funny how basic concepts of washing hands, keeping your sick arse at home which have been known for centuries as the 2 proven methods to stop spread of disease, are now all of a sudden novel concepts and panic. Maybe if society had listened and practiced these over the last 100 years many of the diseases running rampant in society would be curbed. So now enjoy your government mandated actions. And yes I have a professional career in healthcare.

This is my hope.
My curiosity leads me to wonder just HOW colleges & their athletic departments will execute campus-wide disinfection. There are so many surfaces, nooks, & crannies that germs + diseases can live in. So, what will be the nationwide plan to "safely" bring people back to the colleges? And I use safely in " " because we all KNOW that there are too many Karens/Susans/Deborahs out there who absolutely will not send their precious babies back to college without answers of how they will be protected...

Sir, if your Nana or Papa are higher up on the list above LSU Football then I say YOUR priorities are misplaced. There is but only 1 at the top & that is the Fightin' Tigers of LSU Football program led by the incomparable Coach Edward James Orgeron Jr.
