Brossette was a 1 cut runner. He just didn't have the quickness that CEH has.

Brosette was the worst starting running back LSU has had since 1994.

All you have to do is go back and look at the starting RBs of each year and it is obvious.

2 backs with totally different skill sets.

Brosette- average speed, average power average pass catching ability and straight ahead runner

Clyde-average speed, great power, great pass catching ability, very shifty.

NFL Scouts can see all of these things if a running back has these skillsl

Honestly, I don't see Brosette being half as good as CEH even in this offense. Maybe his rushing numbers improve, but he wasn't a dynamic playmaker catching the ball out of the backfield, or in space.

He was a ok back, and he played hard for LSU, but he may have had even less of a rold this year.

CEH was a swiss army knife, and never needed to come off the field.

Nick Brossette ran a 4.7 40 yard dash... he had limitations.

Davis-Price was similar running style to Brossette except I’d say TDP is more physical and never has had the fumbling problem like Brossette. So no, CEH would start even if Brossette was on the roster in 2019.

Acting like Brossette was unlucky and is as good as CEH is ridiculous. CEH was better and did more this year than Brossette could have. That being said, the “Brossette was terrible” take is pretty bad too. Brossette turned himself into a good back. I know this will trigger a lot of Hester dick riders, but Jacob Hester rushed for less than 100 yards more than Brossette and 2 less TD’s their Sr years. Obviously Hester is a legend and I’m not trying to compare the accomplishments of those 2 as Hester had so many huge moments in his career- but to act like Brossette was terrible is a joke. The fumble against Troy was huge and cost us.. but he fumbled 4 times in 4 years (240+ attempts) so acting like he was some liability is irrational.

My point is, CEH is clearly the better and more talented back and anyone saying different is a clown. But Brossette should get more credit than he does.Overcame a ton of adversity to be a permanent team captain and a major contributor to the offense.

Clyde is a much better rb than brosette. Idk how in the world you can even compare the 2 really.

Nick was a bad take. He got shut down by Curtis in the dome his senior year. Like 30 yards or something. He did not have an NFL skillset.

Brosette just looked like he was in slow motion and CEH looked like he was gliding.
