No way would I change Breg-Rhymes-Katz. You could move them up in the lineup, but I would not swap them. Why would you? Just look at the numbers.

I thought Laird stayed in the 2 hole because he could bunt and hit and run. My understanding is that they will put whoever is the hot hand or has the highest OBP in the 1 spot and let 2-5 knock them in.

his bunting has been pedestrian, at best, this year

ibarra even though he would be nice in the 2 hole

Guys that are tied for second on the team in HRs and one of the RBI leaders shouldn't hit in the two hole.

How to fix our leadoff problem

Simple, put whoever is DHing for Ross at the bottom of the order and let the pitcher leadoff.

Why no love for Foster at DH? Kid is batting .429 and has a .500 obp with 7 runs, a HR and a SB in 16 plate appearances. Did he get injured while I was out of town or something?

He's not the hitter his numbers make him out to be. I'd much rather Chinea in the lineup. That's just my opinion.

It's what I consider a better lineup than the one we currently have.

I personally like CPM's current approach.
First, he ain't touching Breg/Rhymes/Katz/Ibarra cuz the boys been killin it where they are.

I think he is trying to let the speedy outfielders in the lineup go and win the 1 and 2 holes, or at the very least go with the hottest bat at the time. I thought Stevenson showed some promise this weekend at Mizzou. Remember, all these guys excluding Foster are new to the SEC.

If/when any of the speedy guys get on in front of aforementioned "cactus dildo". . . (enter SEC team here) fricked!

If we keep rolling, I figure CPM will keep with this approach. If we hit a rough patch and lose a series or two then he may make some more drastic changes, possibly moving the studs up a spot in the order.

Any chance Chinea gets a chance in a midweek game at catcher?

He might leave ross in to try and get that bat going.

Katz is on fire. Why move him around while he is on? That's just plain dumb.

Meh...if it aint broke don't fix it. Honestly I could care less what the lineup is outside of our 2-5 guys, we still have 2 guys struggling at the plate.

Don't have time to read all of this. Just want to say I agree with your lineup. Don't understand why we haven't gone this way yet.

Idk why its a "problem." How many times have we scored a run in the first inning? Ill try and do the research, but I'd imagine quite a bit.
