May be wrong place to ask, but small town local kid wants to reach out to LSU. No he isnt my kid nor am I related to him, just its a small town and they know I am an LSU fan so asked if I had any connections.

Frank would be the ideal one to get in contact with as the kid is a running back but any help would be appreciated.

There is a application form on lsusports.net for walk on prospects
LINK

Can always send an email to football@lsu.edu also but I wouldn’t have a lot of faith that would get seen by the right person

If only there was a website that listed the names and email addresses of the coaches! (lsusports.net) (Lsu Athletic Department website) Google is your friend!

While I agree, I just wanted to ask. Kid is one of 13 to ever get 8,000 career yards from scrimmage in Texas High School football.

God helps those that help themselves. Kids get overlooked all the time. If you want something, go get it.

No offense to the kid at all, but if he's going for a scholarship offer he has to be invited or show up to the camp circuit, including LSU's camps.

If he's a Louisiana kid and not a 5*, LSU usually slow plays them and won't usually offer until or if they show out at their elite camp. Ja'Marr Chase didn't even get an offer until he camped at LSU.

You're not wrong but kids fly under the radar all the time. It wouldn't hurt to check the link the guy above sent and get the kid's name/tape in front of someone within the program.

The kids coach should try to contact the school.

This! If his coach has had any playing time in the last 15 years he should have some contacts that can move the info along word of mouth.

It's possible but unlikely that the kid's coach is clueless. Another route is signing up for a position clinic where the staff is connected.

Just call the LSU football office and ask to speak with someone on the staff. That's what I originally did when I lived in Va. Beach, VA when I offered assistance in getting some Coastal Virginia kids a "look"

Yeah some idiot coach didn’t see him as a receiver and wanted him to play another position here to be offered. Who could that have been?
