Surprised to see Rece Davis put LSU #1 and drop Alabama completely out of the top 25.

3 voters have us #1 (Koki Riley, Rece Davis, & Jon Wilner)

Cuck from South Bend has us as #6

The ND loser was not adequately beaten as a child

Imagine still having Texas in your top 5

And knowing that Koki Riley is an AP voter completely invalidates these rankings for me even more than before. And he's probably one of the more knowledgeable people on there.

The majority of the #5 LSU votes were from SEC team affiliated writers.

Basically it grades the voter based on how close they are to the actual final results of the AP poll.

That's ridiculous. But then you have a handful that seem to give Texas "credit" for being thoroughly dominated on the offensive end with an All American QB who some are calling the greatest college QB ever. OSU's QB was making his first start (and playing time) ever and had as good, if not better, of a day than Manning

It is at least nice to see the majority of the voters recognizing LSU had the most impressive win of the weekend. Ohio St and Miami were both at home, as was FSU. LSU won on the road by shutting down an offense led by a 1st team AA QB.

It seems axiomatic, but one would expect the playoff committee to do what the basketball selection committee does and put significantly more emphasis on road wins. In basketball road wins literally count for more in the NCAA ratings metric (NET)

I understand not wanting to be over reactionary, but it would be totally fair to say that Ohio State, LSU, and Miami (maybe even Florida State if we wanna get extra bold) deserve to be the top teams until the teams around them play a team worth a shite. Saying Penn State, Oregon, and Georgia deserve to be ahead of us when they all played nobodies is biased. Hell, 2 of these guys still have Texas ahead of us.

Guy still votes Clemson as a top ten but puts LSU as fifth.

That’s why you have offsetting votes.

Of course the ND beat writer is the gaping vagina putting LSU at 6.

The numbers are a measure of consistency in voting week to week. I grabbed this from reddit r/cfb. There's a better explanation there.
