re: How the hell did LSU hold Texas Tech to 27 points and win by 3 touchdowns?

All the hall of fame coaches and experts that are littered throughout the rant kept swearing that Texas Tech would torch Kevin Steele's defense and the Tigers offense would fail to keep up with their prolific offense.
TTU wins in the Big 12 with smoke and mirrors on offense. Their QB is the only reason they did anything, because that O Line is a joke. He ran for his life all night, but he made it work and still made enough plays to keep them in it for 4 quarters.
It's great that the Tigers closed out. They've had plenty of issues doing that the last 3 years, even against inferior teams, so that's a solid takeaway. However, the issues were still there. Consistency with Harris. Penalties. Discipline (playing without a helmet for the 3rd time this year! How about 3 more offsides on D? If we don't lead the nation in that penalty, I'd hate to see who does), giving up big pass plays. Giving up big 3rd and 4th downs. The O Line going through stretches where they can't get push on anyone, including the likes of EMU and TTU, both in the bottom 10 in FBS rushing D.
Yes, we saw Harris dig out of a hole and look great to close the game. Yes, the D closed out very strong with a cherry on top goal line stand, and the pass rush was on fire. Still, all of the issues on this team are not magically fixed. Even after bowl prep, several of them are still there. A nice margin of victory against an inferior opponent doesn't take that away.

OK. Whats that got to do with tonights Tigers victory?
Because a team of 2 stars most likely wont beat a team of 4-5 stars..TT has good coaches but anyone with a brain saw the talent gap on these two teams. Coaching cant fix that.

Harris will be a-okay for 2016. I promise.
News will come out in the coming weeks that a leader on this offense will have had a pre-bowl scheduled, immediate post game surgery to repair a nagging season injury. Not making excuses for this individual, but I'll let everyone else put the pieces of the said offensive digression puzzle together.
Why do some of you try to be so cryptic? Just say what you have to say.

True Statement...

Tech defense was 124 for a reason and their O line couldn't block anybody.

Because LSU had a great game plan and executed it.
Instead of wondering, give LSU coaches and players credit instead of wanting to find excuses how the other team didn't live up to your expectations.
Even though their defense was suspect, their offense was highly ranked all year.
LSU stepped up. Props to the coaches and players

Well it was hard to see because this perm headed TT POS kept standing up during the game an blocking my view. I told him I'd whip his arse

Coach Cam Camerons presence on the sideline rejuviinted the offense. And luckily assured his position for next year. I hope y'all are as excited as I am
Assuming that is serious, how did our genius coach go to the last game in three seasons before figuring out this was the problem?

It kept Miles from changing the play.

Not sure how they beat Arky either other than Arky sucked out of the gate.
TT compared most to Ole Piss, but Ole Piss had a decent Defense.

From my view looking at the players on the field from 5 rows up it appeared LSU was bigger and faster (I have been told I have a strong grasp for the obvious). Score would have been worse for TTech if their QB wasn't so elusive. He got out of numerous sacks all night. Tigers were ready to play AND the passing game was sharp - especially after the INT. Harris deserves credit for his excellent passing in 2nd half. I was impressed. Play calling was random as well. Good job Tigers!

Nice to know that beating that powerhouse team puts us in the playoffs now.

I didn't take time to read a bunch of predictions about the game before the game, because I expected TT to be out-manned. TT was definitely out-manned. They are very game to fight, and they fought furiously, but, in the end, what I expected to happen actually happened.
It was a very satisfying win. I'm certain that the team and the coaches are walking tall and feelin' great today. They beat a well-coached and very game opponent.
I hope that this isn't another thread whose real purpose is to incite division and antagonize other fans. I can say with honesty that, if your motive is to antagonize fans that have been critical about some aspects of the program, you will get in return five-fold what you attempt to dish out.

We beat a 5 loss big 12 team with the worst defense in the FBS. Cool your fricking jets.

Texas Tech finished 7-6 right?
Posted on 12/30/15 at 10:31 am to DollaChoppa
After that arse whooping yes.
But they were a highly rated offense all year.
Not like they were in a weak conference.
Their loss were to Baylor, Oklahoma, TCU, Ok State and WV.
That's a bunch of decent teams there.

TT likely would not have been our opponent had he not done that all year. I doubt they could have won 3 games without him. Probably on par with Vandy without the qb.

I give most of the credit to Orgeron. It was the DL pressure more than anything that kept their offense struggling.
