Their jealous little brother act can be insufferable. Their insistence on being called UL and Louisiana is ridiculous. Their delusions of grandeur in baseball and basketball is laughable. Like gnats they are annoying out of all proportion to their reality. I can understand some of the reaction to them.

However, with the exception of Tulane, I root for all Louisiana schools. So congratulations University of Louisiana at Lafayette Ragin Cajuns. Enjoy the ULL season and join in the glory of LSU with all the state.

Why do you care about their mood?
LSU won the National Title and you’re concerned about an in-state G5 program?
They’re not a rival. They’re not even significant.

Some of their fans are envious and petty. Many of their fans pull for LSU.

Yup, hardly anyone showed up to the games this year, and they had their best season ever. Even had $2 beers and still couldn't draw a crowd. I think they were more pissed about that. Congrats to UL on a great season.

First I'm an alum of La Tech. I also earned credit hours from many of this state's university/college system. LSU, ULL, ULM, Grambling, Tech and UNO. I have family members who have graduated from many of these institutions, some even from SEC west rivals.

By far the most critical of LSU, for whatever reason, are our people from Lafayette.

I too have had to endure listening to criticism, whining, open put downs of family members for decades. It's almost hard for them to be happy for the LSU fans. Right now it's too soon for the nega-LSU attitudes to let loose. But soon enough the coulda/shoulda been us attitude will emerge.

When it starts, just know they really are coming from the world of envy, knowing that their team will probably never have the success of LSU during their lifetimes.

ULL all up in OPs head. I seriously doubt there are a significant number of ULL fans that are pissed that LSU did well this year.

They have a 2020 season ticket package available if anyone is interested.

Hope you have deep pockets. If not you can pay installments.

Yep, around my office, each Monday the majority of the talk was about the Tigers (all good by the way). There are a few people that I know here in Lafayette that aren't LSU fans, but they don't put the Tigers down either, they just focus on the Cajuns. The vast majority of people in Lafayette are ecstatic about the Tigers and the season they had.

As someone who lived in Lafayette the majority of my life and graduated from ULL I disagree with everything you just said.

Your talking about maybe 10% of their fan base that thinks this way. Most ULL fans are LSU fans too and certainly not Bama fans.

Idk if your friend bubble is just that small or you hyper focus on the minority but you are wrong.

It’s been a great year. UL showed out and LSU won’t the Natty. What is there to be upset about?

I think about ULLL about as much as I do the weenies,i.e. never. But as for why the hate: live there for any amount of time & you'll understand. There is only one program in the State that Skip refused to play for a period of time : ULLL

Ugh I was born and raised in Lafayette and I graduated from USL. I can assure I know what I'm talking about. But at this point it is what it is.

Congrats to them. I doubt I'll ever hear much shite talking ever again.

Those I know are anti-LSU, envious and covet LSU’s goods.

I just ignore them.

Their resentments are a waste of time. USL will always be a directional college!!!

Well, since most ULL fans are also LSU fans, I'd say the general attitude is what a year for college football in Louisiana. I know I feel that way.

But if it makes you feel better about yourself somehow to think most Ragin Cajun fans hate LSU, carry on.

It is super strange. LSU is has all of my allegiance, but that doesn’t mean i don’t root for all schools in LA. No other school in state is a legitimate threat to LSUs success, so why would one root against our other state schools?

F em.

ETA: I must add Bama lovin...

What a load of crap. I'm from Lafayette (as you claim to be), I graduated from USL(As you claim to have) and I have lived in Lafayette all 58 years I've been on this earth with the exception of the academic year I spent in Baton Rouge.

Are there people who fit your description, sure. You know what, those exist in every city in this state, even Baton Rouge. NOLA is full of them. They are a minority in all those place, including Lafayette and at ULL as well.

There is a vocal group of ULL supporters that are anti LSU. Calling someone a dimwit because they rightly say those are a minority is pretty dimwitted in my opinion.

I'll write that off as your emotions clouding your judgement, since I don't know you so I I don't know if you're actually dimwitted.
