How obvious has it been for the last 5 or so years of Miles' stubbornness...

philosophy if with his insanely great record in the toughest division in CFB, that he is struggling to find a good P5 job? We all had it right and people scoffed at us. Surely, Les understands now how badly he fricked it all up.

Missouri or Tennessee don't want him either.

I have a want to agree with you PeaRidge, but in all fairness it has to be well after the bowl games to reach that conclusion.
Many school jut won't make moves during the season, and some coaches just won't talk during the season (not applicable for LM).

he didn't frick it up until 2012 and beyond. his first 7 years or so was damn good football for the most part. he went into a shell after we beat bama in 2011 (the 9-6 game) and deluded himself to believe that was the way to go. the problem was he also did a poor job of actually knowing the reality of his teams. chavis/haley were ruining the defense front 7 and that become clear to many in 2013. and Cameron/miles was ruining the offense when we lost mett, hill, obj and landry. the run, run, pass to obj didn't work after they left. and miles fricked it up by just watching it happen and doing little, if anything, about it.
does Les understand what caused his house to crash? I doubt it. i'll bet he still thinks huge road grader OL with a stud back is the winning combo.

What's shocking to me is that it took people this long to see what was happening. It was so frustrating to watch LSU football in the last 4 years. Winning or not was not the issue. It was how it was won or lost.

That is the where numbers like some here continue to put up mean nothing. I still don't care how many games Miles led teams won over time or how they look compared to other coaches both at LSU and nationally...his teams underperformed by the strategies he stubbornly put forth.
The way I talked to my kids about grades was that they were A students and if they brought in Cs, that was a failing effort. Miles had A level resources and put forth C level strategies as to not fully utilize those resources. In my eyes, he failed LSU during his tenure.

Things have a way of evening out over time. Go back and look at all the close games we won during the miles early years and then look at all the close games we lost in the last few years.
Many Lsu fans only Cared about the outcome of the game and not how the team looked doing it. Suddenly Miles is no longer winning those last second games and those people started seeing the light.

Shows how important recruiting is. I struggled to figure out how Miles convinced receivers and pass-catching TEs to sign. But he did. And I know -- Mett, OBJ and the like helped-- but that was really just one year.

Yep so obvious he suck. Ed It up bad. And is demand is about like Obama's right now

His failure to adapt is why he'll not get an offer

To put this into perspective, if Bama hadn't become a dynasty, Les would still be our HC. He did what he did because he believed it was our best strategy to beat Bama.
It's sad when you think about it.

Agree. We gave him a Ferrari and he didn't change the oil, ran it off the road and everybody who matters knows this. He'll be lucky to get UCF job. So much for his Power 5 job. I just want him to make enough so that he's coaching for free. He's such a great guy and all I'm sure he'll consider LSU by taking just kind of money.......right?

Les was definitely stubborn and believed the way he was running things was the best way, or maybe changing is scary to him.
Doesn't matter what his reasons were, He is gone, time for us to move on.

Sorry, my big finger down voted but I meant to up vote. I was never a Miles fan. I understand what you are saying but he couldn't see what everyone but his cousins could. It's never said enough. Bo Schembechler never won a national championship!!!!!
