I don't know about you guys but Mr. Two Bits originated when we were down.

And it is quite amusing that Gator fans find this tradition awe-inspiring! Probably one of the dumbest things I have ever seen at a sporting event.

lsu's march down victory hill began in 1960 and according to our record, we were 5-4-1 that year.

We won a national title in 1958, went to the Sugar Bowl in 1959, and won the Orange Bowl in 1961. That was a great era for LSU football.

Because he said "era", during that "era", LSU was playing under arguably our greatest coach.

My favorite tradition is beng ahead of the tigers by a sizable margin in head to head FB meetings over the last several decades.

yes, im aware

but im just saying that a great tradition evolved during a year when lsu football wasn't experiencing the immense amount of success as it did in the years surrounding it

I'm pretty sure they are currently 4-1

Yeah...but their last bowl win was against Texas A&M just about the time we were hearing "I did not have sex with that woman." They are recuting kids who have never seen them win a bowl game...

Sorry, but is pretty lame. The cheerleaders for my Pop Warner team did the same cheer 30 years ago!
Great for Pop Warner, not so much for a "big time" college football program.

It's not the actual cheer, it's the tradition. The guy started doing it when he was a student, you do something that long people are gonna like/respect it.

Mr. Two Bits is way better than what LSU used to do. In the 90's, a male cheerleader would get on the mic before every game, yell "IS EVERYBODY READY FOR SOME FOOTBAAAAAAAAALL?!?!?!?!?!", and do the two bits cheer.

Right, then we realized it was about as cool as penal cancer and decided to stop. Don't get me wrong, I like alot about Florida, they have some awesome traditions. But that 2 bits thing is super lame.
