Jurich and Smith are pro's pros

Alvarez and Castiglione know how to run an Ath Dept. Dodds had a good touch before retiring.

Loves some Football and Basketball.

Maybe he could fix our situation with those 2? Oh wait.... then we wouldn't have anything to complain about. Nevermind!

something is wrong here. vanderbuilt eliminated their athletic department a number of years ago and fired their AD. plus, no one would pay over 3 million for whatever this guy does. that's insane

We should use the money saved with the HC hire and give it to a new AD. Anything to get this incompetent piece crap out of town.

"It is a situation that I wear more hats," Williams says of his varied positions at the private school: vice chancellor for university affairs and athletics; general counsel and university secretary for Vanderbilt and its medical center; fully tenured professor of law. Those are a lot of responsibilities, but even so, the $2.56 million compensation package Williams received at Vanderbilt in 2009 — double that of any other athletics director — is somewhat misleading. Williams had a base salary of $772,000 and bonuses of $185,000, but the lion's share of his salary came from $1.5 million in deferred and retirement income. That figure reflects an ongoing, growing account that was put in place in 2007 for Williams and top university officials, when Gordon Gee resigned as Vanderbilt's chancellor to become president at Ohio State.
