How much of the SEC's problem with us is because of Verge?

Scott Woodward was a part of the good old boy system. Verge was on the bad side of the SEC in 2021 for covering up sexual misconduct. I'm sure this pissed Verge off for trying to end his career.

It feels like the SEC's claims of LSU "lacking institutional control" is pointing a finger directly at our current AD, rather than Lane Kiffin or Will Wade.

Us shite canning Woody so publicly is definitely part of the problem. Along with people like UT Chancellor still having a hard on for Kiff, and the fact we've basically cleaned house of woke since Landry pushed Tate out for Rousse.

SEC probably didn’t care for us running off (forced to waddle off?) Scott because he bowed to their will, but I don’t believe they have Verge in their scope.

None.

The SEC, like the other big conferences, think they have found the golden ticket to stop all of the lawsuits re: eligibility in the lawsuit the Big 12 filed against Texas Tech this past summer related to the Sorsby issue. Kiffin and Wade are charting new grounds in seeking to get players eligible, so the SEC is deploying its new "weapon" because they think they have public sentiment behind them.

The reality is these fights are more likely to end the SEC (as we know it) than LSU.
