I don't see him losing the next 2. But, I don't know who he plays after that. Holding judgment to make sure everyone is healthy for the CFP games.

I think he is very deserving of a raise however the administration will be dumb to give him a large sum of money because he will not leave for another school

He's exceeded my expectations for sure, I'd give him a 350*2 raise.

Well I'm not sure that's a factor for a raise.

Lol so instead of getting rewarded for loyalty, he should be punished?

It’s way too early for these kind of talks until we see how the season ends

If he wins a natty he deserves a bump of about 1 million/year and an extension. I don't believe he is greedy and he is well aware that we are paying top dollar for coordinators. If he wants Saban money the OC and DC pay grade is drastically reduced.

That’s not how this works. You don’t give coaches raises simply so they don’t leave. You give them raises because they deserve it, first and foremost.

Considering he literally just signed an extension, even then is way too early outside of anything that was agreed to in said extension.

I have to imagine he's got performance based incentives for winning it all like previous coaches.

ETA: Facts get downvoted. Classic. I no way am I implying he wouldn't deserve more. But the whole point of contracts is to not change the compensation every single year based on the most recent results.

He diffinetly deserves a raise. Hes trending up in everything since he took control. How much is above my paygrade.

I’d raise to $5m with incentive based clauses that could get him to $6.5. Also need to re-sign Brady, Raymond and Robinson to new long term deals.

I am not aware of a limit on what LSU will pay their coaching staff.

CEO deserves to be paid his market value as one of the top head coaches in all of the land. His current salary as the 28th head coach is a disservice to the job he has done during his time at LSU. You can bet your arse 100 schools across the land would love to have him as their head coach today with an 11-0 record, champions of the SEC West, playing for an SEC Championship, and damn near certain playoff spot in his grasp.

CEO being paid the same as Chad Morris that just went 0-14 in SEC play is a complete travesty.

We should give him a raise for doing his job? Didn’t he just get a raise? Why not wait for his contract to play out a little then reward him with the next one? Y’all sure do love to piss money away. Y’all had to give Aranda whatever it took to keep him and the year we need him the most, he’s our weakest link.
Joe Brady on the other hand is a different story. He’s vastly under paid and will have schools lining up to take him. That’s where the money should go. Investing in the next 3-5 years with him.

He's already racked up $450,000 in bonuses so far with another $150,000 with a win this week. Winning the SEC is good for another $200,000. Then another $900,000 for CFP victory.

I imagine a raise is in order as well...

Do you think Alabama pays Nick that much simply because he "deserves" it? They pay him that much to make damn sure NO ONE takes him away from Bama. If they could pay him less and be assured of keeping him, they would. But Nick holds ALL of the leverage in those negotiations because every school in America would love to have him. It's not a coincidence that Les got raises when the threat of him leaving for Michigan arose. It's not an accident Tom Herman makes more than O even though you could argue Herman isn't a better coach. Doesn't matter. At the time he was hired his demand was FAR higher than that for O.

O has had a terrific season and has earned a bump in pay. But unnecessarily giving a big raise, extension, buyout provision is a good way to put yourself in a bind should things go south.

Simple question. If LSU doesn't give O a huge raise, what is his recourse? Unless another power conf. school is willing to pay him more than he is making at LSU, then his options are to continue serving as LSU's HC for the salary they are willing to or quit. Something tells me he wouldn't quit.

Again, it has been a great, great season thus far. But when you (LSU in this case) hold significant leverage in the negotiations it would be asinine to bid against yourself.

If he begins to see that level of success, he’ll get the raise and his coaches salary pool will continue to grow. Look at Alabama across the university when the team began winning. Everyone eats.
