Above average recruiter but a very average to below average developer of talent. He just doesn’t seem interested in perimeter defense which in the age of the three ball will get you beat. I also find the lack of defensive rebounding ability of this team (and most previous teams of his) to be concerning.

This is not true
He definitely can not get these guys to play defense tho. That Texas tech game could be a make or break game for the season if they come in and hold us to sub 40% shooting and win by double digits.

He is a great recruiter and an above average coach. For our basketball program that is probably the best we can get. Keep us entertained in between Football and Baseball

S- name just a few players (besides Skylar) that have really made strides under Wade. Can’t be one or two because a true developer of talent would be making everyone a better player. Nobody really gets better, plain and simple. If you really want to drill down, name anyone that’s better defensively. You can’t, because good defense is more of a team concept that an individual’s ability. Wade does not teach this concept. It’s a fair assessment of his time at LSU.

Most reasonable fans realize that Wade has his weaknesses (and every coach has his weaknesses). With basketball, you have to wait until tournament time to see how good the team is ultimately going to be.
"One and done" has made college basketball coaching a lot tougher. Player development has to be done under much tighter time frames (and this is an issue in this odd COVID year).
