How much longer do you think Aranda will put up with the offense before leaving?

Do you think we can hold onto him for 4 years? Or will he get tired of trying to keep a bad offense afloat?

Not long. He is probably tired of carrying the team and losing games because we refuse to evolve on offense.

I would not be shocked at all if this is his last season at LSU

he's making $2.5m a season. he's not going anywhere.

You don't think someone else will match that?

Unfortunately, I have a strong feeling that Aranda will eventually get sick of the status quo and find a better situation. Coach O needs to get the offensive woes addressed soon.

Someone will pay more. Or he’ll get a HC job.

He’s a smart guy and he knows hitching his future to Os wagon is a bad move.

I think with the money and talent on defense he was willing to give a 2 year shot but I would be absolutely shocked if he’s still on LSUs staff next year.

Yes I hope I’m wrong because he’s the only think keeping the ship afloat right now.

How many more times he he going to bring the house on third down and get torched before fans give him some of the blame? Giving up 600 yards or offense against Alabama and almost 300 yards rushing against Florida which can’t throw the ball. He is the least of lsu s problems but the is blame to go around.

I don’t care how good your D is, if they are on the field 3/4 of the game because the O can not sustain a drive, they will wear down!

Maybe O can bring chief back!

A&M would've paid him this last year. Also Texas would love to. Teams will probably start to consider him for HC jobs. I think we will have to fight teams off every year to keep Aranda. If so I think we'll have to make him HC in waiting. I know those rarely work out, but if he wants to be a HC, I don't see him lasting much longer.

I love Aranda, but his defense gave up 576 yards, at home, in that incredible environment.

And don't say it was because our D was on the field too much. Bama gained 320 of those yards in the first half. And they once forced 1 turnover, which was effectively the same as a punt inside the 5 yard line.

Bama had 4 drives of 70+ yards.

Aranda's a great DC, but our D didn't get it done on Saturday.

Reminds me of the Chicago Bears a few years back. So great on defense, but they played for 45/60 minutes. Just got worn out.

He was named associate head coach for a reason, which means he would take over if the opportunity was given to him.

Which means if he leaves, it is LITERALLY Allevas fault.

Sure the Defnese gave up a ton of yards to Bama. But I think that unlike the offensive issues, scheme wasn’t a huge contributing factor.

The LBs and DBs played reasonably well, the line just got physically whipped.

Florida was bad. Maybe Arandas worst game at LSU and his second worst was also agaist Mullen.

I think Aranda is the best DC in the business, but for some reason Mullen has him pegged.

Does Aranda want to be a head coach?

Does he want to check out the NFL?

Does anyone here know what he wants to do? I suppose the answer is no.

What we do know is that he has young kids that are involved, by all accounts his family is thriving here. He is a defensive coach that appears to just want to be a DC.

For a college gig, O doesnt have him too hot and heavy on the recruiting trail. He has complete autonomy on defense. This may not be the case at other schools.

He has the best DB coach in the game of college football, he got his safeties coach.

All signs point to him being completely happy and in a damn good spot. I dont think he is miserable in the least. His reputation continues to be impeccable.
