I don't think where he was from had anything to with it. Saban was from West Virginia, Miles was from Ohio. I mean name a coach other than O that was from here.

Zero. I moved away from Louisiana 25 years ago and have lived in Ohio, Florida and now North Carolina. I have never seen issues with accepting others (or them to my family) based on "you're not from around here." Winning solves it, but if it was simply an issue of those from south Louisiana defaulting to not accepting because someone is from "up north", they need to grow the f--k up.

Does not matter. Saban was not from Louisiana. We don’t need a shrimp boat captain, we need a competent coach. If the team performs in a manner that exhibits good organization and coaching, the coach’s accent doesn’t matter

He could coach at Boston College and everyone would still hate him!

Burger King is an egghead with no friends who assaults his players and assistant coaches. That assistant he grabbed at Notre Dame should whooped his arse on national tv.

So?

Gerry DiNardo was from Brooklyn and never once tried to play down his background or "act southern" in any way shape or form. People loved him pretty much as soon as he came on the scene until he started to torpedo the program. I mean, do people forget that Ruffino's was originally DiNardo's?

Zero. Win games. No one cares where a coach grew up. That's talking-points for the TV barbarians in need of ratings.

It was not improving off of 2022 and wasting a record-shattering offense with the worst defense of all-time
