I've lived thru the end of the Dale Brown era, the Trent Johnson years, the Johnny Jones debacle.

Being a life-long fan of the program for 30 years, i've seen alot of bad LSU basketball. The McMahon disaster ranks right up there with some of the worst! No fan support, no student support, and no excitement for the program.

Call it whatever the hell you want. He can't recruit at a high level, he can't coach, and he ain't bringing no excitement to the program!!!!

That is peanuts in the grand scheme of things. Pretty soon we will be paying that much for a quarterback.

Because he swears LSU has the talent to play with the big boys!

That's not being a fan, that's wearing purple and gold blinders.

I do not like speak for other people.

But I will stand up for posters that have true LSU MBB.

For this board, we kinda know each other. You misrepresent his entire intention and thought.

That's usually what people do here when they can't actually say something.

I'm having a hard time understanding your last response lol.

I think most of us LSU basketball fans want similar results.....

Look I was 110 percent behind will wade. Woodward screwed the pooch by firing Wade and hiring McMahon most of us know that.

I think Woodward gives McMahon one more year.......and then he's toast.

But why? Justify this.

It's the money/contract? Is it the hope that we're going to turn it around?

People do understand sunk cost at some point?

Because he's a Woodward hire. Wade wasn't a Woodward guy.

I think you have me confused with mcpuffstiger and mmcgrath. I often get lumped in with those two but we are polar opposites.

I'll explain it to you like I explained it to everyone else. If you think being in an insane asylum is a good thing, I don't know what to tell you.

Though I will admit I could have done a better job picking my name. It's clear the joke didn't stick.

I have been one of few posters to remain optimistic while also considering the flaws. I have consistently been negative in regards to in game coaching, rotations, and lineups from the day I made my account. I want my team to win, and I have tried to be optimistic (because I'm a fan) even when its hard. However, I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel anymore. I've been saying for a while now it's time to pull the plug.

I made a promise to these posters, the ones who know me. Mdom, drizz, alt, madking, pnels, to name a few. I told them that this season I was done making excuses in regards to talent. I have been a man of my word. This is a talented team. McMahon is a good recruiter. He can't do anything with the talent. He is like a worse version of Jones.

I was at the NIT game. I was at every home game during McMahon's first year when the loudest sound in the arena was squeaking shoes on the court. I have gone to every scrimmage, every open practice. I stormed the court when we beat Kentucky. I was at the Pete Maravich statue unveiling. I saw Ben Simmons drop 43 against North Florida. Don't ever question my fandom of LSU MBB, because anyone who knows me will tell you that you don't know me. At all.

Hold your horses alt.

I've been told REPEATEDLY by the experts on the rant that Wade can't coach at all, and that now he's not the only coach buying the players due to NIL. After all, he was the only coach illegally recruiting players EVER in the history of college basketball.

Care to revise that post???

North Florida was horrid! I too was at the game!

I was at every game that season. Buddy Hield had a field day against Benjamin!

You keep praising the talent on this team, yet they can't get out of their own way. They lead the SEC in turnovers, take poor shot selection, and are an underdog at home tonight........This team is full of mid major talent! It can't be denied.....most of the guys on the squad wouldn't start for any of the SEC schools.

SU and Kentucky are not equals. You guys keep thinking that we're talking about LSU football or baseball. LSU basketball does not have the same cache' as the other programs. It might as well be UL-Lafayette. You can't turn around LSU basketball in a year. It's not a top program, and it doesn't have nor does it spend top program money.

that's a bunch of horse shite.
No we aren't Kentucky.
Todd Golden took over a UF team that missed the tournament 2 of the previous 3 years, then made the NIT his first year, the tourney his 2nd year, and is now a top 10 team in year 3.
Chris Jans at MSU took over a team that had made the tourney once in the last 13 years, and he took them to the tourney in year 1, and in year 2, and now they are top 15 in year 3.
Chris Beard took over a 2-13 Ole Miss team that had made one tourney in the previous 9 years. Went 7-11 in conference in year 1, and now has his team ranked in the top 25 in year 2.
UGA hires Mike White after UF was satisfied with him, and he takes over a 1-17 UGA team 6-12 in year 1, then to the NIT semifinals in year 2, and now they are ranked in the top 25 in year 3.

and where are we in year 3? Don't sit here and tell me we don't have the same cache as those programs.

DJ Bailey is a role player at best in the SEC on every team.

He's a 22% 3 point shooter.

He wouldn't start at McNeese this season!!

It would be one thing if it was only this team. This is now the third season in a row that Mcmahon's teams struggle with turnovers and "can't get out of their own way". Even if this team does have lesser talent than the rest of the league, which I don't have that opinion, Mcmahon has proven that he can't get more out of less when a multitude of other coaches have proven that they are able to. I think everyone in this thread is arguing pretty much the same thing, just for slightly different reasons
