Let’s assume 3-4 losses each year. I say 2 more after this one.

Its hard to say. Are the loses atleast competitive? Who are the loses to? Is talent being wasted, not coached up?

This year is a mulligan. It’s a dumb year. Everything is off.

If this team comes out looking this bad next season he should be on the hot seat for real.

Agree with the OP.

There are other factors to consider (who we lose to, how we lose). But 3-4 losses is what led up to Les getting canned.

If there isn’t significant improvement next year across the board the boosters will be meeting.

Three losses next year buys him another year. Three losses has been the standard more years than not over the last decade or so.

Unless he resigns out of the kindness of his heart (nope) he will be here until the last minute of his contract. Maybe we fire him mid season in the last year.

Buyout is way too much. Like, by a large, large margin.

if next year is significantly improved, sure. It would be free year anyway tbh. But if we’re terrible again next year, this year will absolutely not be forgotten.

Can’t use that as an excuse, other teams are dealing with the same issues and haven’t fallen apart the way we have.

2-3 but this year is so bad it’s prob closer to 2. If they lose 6 next year I think that would be it.

Also if he insists on riding with pelini that may be a problem too like miles with his buddy Cameron

One last thing, I honestly don’t even think we have the money to buy out Pellini until his last year.

Coach O in his final year of his contract has a buyout of 70% of $7M

another year like this year and that seat will begin to get really hot. I understand the lose of top players but our talent should not be getting blown out by auburn and losing to Miss st and Mizz. This is on coaching . Wait till we get the doors blown off by alabama and UF and A&M then next year he will be on the hot seat. He was hired to bring on the best assistants at top dollar. He has not done that and this year it is showing. Burrow made a lot of people look a lot better than they were. That kid maybe a pro bowler by next year.

By the time O’s contract is up LSU will be a forgotten program if they continue on this path
