Auburn has an RPI of 12, SOS of 6 and played 34 games against quad 1 teams. For perspective Oregon State played 10 games against quad 1. If AU advances at all in the tourny the NCAA would have to basically ignore all metrics for them not to be a regional host.

Singer has a hamstring injury fyi. Supposedly he will be ok.

I hope you're right, but I just dont have faith in the committee. After the hosed us in 2011 for St. Johns, I have 0 trust in them. Their reasoning at that time was conference record. Who's to say reasoning this year could be road wins? Wouldn't surprise me.

Thank you for taking the time to write out exactly what I was thinking.

Yeah I think the last time somebody in the SEC that didn’t get in with a 15-15 record was 1999.

I didn't know that about Singer. Thanks.

Thursday night when the LSU game got out of hand I started streaming the Miss St/Florida game for about 10 minutes. The announcers were talking about O'Sullivan resting Singer and "other regular starters." I didn't stay around to get any details.

There's a chance we may be in already, but given what happened in 2011, I'd feel much more confident with a win on Tuesday. Playing UF on Wednesday at a neutral site would be a big boost to our RPI.

Who are we looking at for starting each game?

Tues - Bush
Wed - Hess

I'm guessing Bush on Tuesday, he didn't pitch at all against Auburn. If we advance from there, Hess, Hilliard, and Labas should be ready to go.

LSU was freaking 22 in RPI in 2011 and got left out but they used the excuse of not getting into the conference tournament which was only the top 8 teams. This year A&M and Kentucky are both 10 and 11 respectively.

One thing to remember. If LSU is on the fence and the selection committee has a chance to stick it to LSU baseball they will. As we saw in 2006 and 2011. Both teams should have made it.

Looking at chart above
16+ wins (6 teams IN) FL, GA, Vandy, SC, OM, & Ark

15-15
Aub RPI (12) 37-19
State (26) 31-24
LSU (43) 33-23
No SEC teams w 14-16 record
13-17
A&M (20) 36-19
KY (25) 34-21
12-18
MO (38) 34-21 - No 12 win team in per chart

AU & State look to be in with 15 wins and good enough RPI per chart history. So up to 8 SEC teams in.

LSU with a 43 RPI is in between the in and out chart history. A&M & KY have a good RPI but the chart says a 22 RPI with 13 wins can be in or out.

D1 Baseball earlier projected 10 SEC teams in the tournament.

LSU A&M & KY are battling for the remaining 1-2 spots with MO needing to win the tournament to get in.

Tournament 1st round
LSU vs State
A&M vs Vandy
KY vs Auburn
MO vs SC

Miss st is a lock. And kentucky and a&m still have as good of a chance at this as does lsu. If we win one, and one of them makes it to the finals, then i think they would make it over us for sure
