Miles had done nothing to lead anyone to believe he could win a national championship at LSU. I bet you were like who in the frick did we just hire...I guess you will admit Gundy is better than Miles? He has taking OSU to higher levels than CLM

I never cared for the Canada offense. He should never have been hired and it made me skeptical of Orgeron's hiring process

I think Orgeron boxed his self in with that when he said he was only going to hire the best coordinators out there. That along with time considerations with trying to have a OC on board to help close out the 2017 recruiting class. Those two factors pushed the decision to Canada. I think he has the attitude now that he doesn't give a frick, nor does the team, what the so called "fans" have to say about him any more. Which is a good thing because he sure didn't give a frick what the idiot portion of the fan base was going to think when he hired Ensminger.

I don't disagree with that at all. As Bill Polian would say "if you listen to the fans, you're gonna be sitting with them too."

They don't care what we think, yet we have O on camera saying "frick dem."

They clearly care and use it as motivation, which is fine. Let's hope they can keep up this level of play when the world is flattering their vanity.

Absofrickinlutely!!! No one with half a functioning brain would have looked at the Miles hire at that time and believed we hit a home run.

His resume was much much much better than 0's. Where is the objectivity with this?

He did slightly better in his first year at LSU than Orgeron did as well.

Oklahoma state was nothing when les took over. He had some success there and beat Oklahoma a couple times. His resume took a massive dump on Os

that's exactly what I said. When him and the players said "frick them" they were talking about their critics both in the media and in the alleged "fan" base. In other words, they don't give a frick any more, nor should they, If that's how they are going to be treated by their own fans then they shouldn't give a frick about them. MOre concerned about dissing coach O and talking down about the quality of the team than they are with being fans of LSU. "frick 'EM"

Not sure ironic is the word you meant to use.

Regardless, I'm sure it's just another weak attempt by you to take a personal shot at me since you have nothing to a actually say.

I didn't use ironic. OTOH, I am not surprised you don't get it.

It wasn't weak. I have lots to say. Pointing out how terrible you are as a poster and human being is just one of the services I provide here. Do you not ever wonder why people react to you the way they do? I mean, it has to build up at some point? No? Have you had a friend read your post history and advise? You really should if not.

Well they absolutely care, which is why they responded so strongly about having the opportunity to prove the critics wrong. That's caring what the critics think, and it's not shutting out the noise like Orgeron says they do.

It's a double edged sword, because when you care that critics are doubting you one week and you want to prove them wrong, you may care when they're saying you're the greatest the next week. It's good when the critics doubt you, when when they love you, it's the "rat poison" that Saban talks about.

his resume might have been better but he wasn't a world beater. Schools weren't floating his name around.
A 28-21 record and 2-2 in bowls is nothing to brag about.
HE made his name beating OU a couple of times in a heated rivalry series. He only won 9 games one time there.

I mean, none of these stats are mind-blowing.

This game def helped, but we lost to TROY last year.

I know they beat Nebraska, but we can't lose to Troy.

Let's just get past LA Tech, and Rice and then I'm all in.

When taken with no context, sure. But you look at where the program was before he got there, it's pretty damn good.

the program wasn't relative before he got there and wasn't when he left. Were they better...yes. Gundy has done more to build that program up.

Les caught a break and then took advantage of it for a while at LSU. He would not have been the first choice if other more qualified coaches would have been available.

I'm not surprised the way I used this phrase went over your head.
