What he's doing now is absolutely exceptional. People are still hung up on why fans had doubts about him this past off season. It's crazy.

Is it really that though? Who hasn't give the staff their props for the start to this season?
I think most everyone has, but I'm guessing praise is not enough.

Almost any P5 coach would have made mores sense than 0. 30 is conservative. You will not be satisfied by any of the names.
This is the clear bias that people are calling you out for. If you can't at least acknowledge that circumstance and the ongoing success of the Dabo model put Orgeron at least in the top 10 then you're completely unreasonable. Even without 20/20 hindsight there were a few names that likely should have been ahead of Orgeron, but there damn sure weren't 30.

The coaches before and after 0 at Ole Miss had success.
Ole Miss won 10 games twice in 46 years and hasn't won a sec championship in over 50 years. Their program prior to Freeze was not interested in doing what it takes to compete in the SEC.

None of that changes that 0 was the worst by far

already been done, numerous times. I'm speaking from experience. The names get shot down without fail. Total waste of time to have the "who would you have hired" name game.
well god dam just pull a few names out your arse then? Name 3 college coaches we could have hired who would so obviously have us 3-0 right now and would be doing so much better than O?

today was the first time I have seen someone name even one name who they think would be better, Fuente from Virgina Tech.
so now your turn, name them, go:

I don't know what we're still talking about if we've come to this admission.

The top 10?

let Canada have free reign of the offense
I don't remember this quote? Is this something made up? Why are all the o haters supportive of canada anyway?

Take a look at who is bringing these issues up. It's not the "negas"

I atill Think Dabo is more involved in the offense than people give him credit for.
When Morris left the offense kept plugging away with internal hires.either Dabo has 3 top OCs on staff at one point or Dabo has more to do with the offense than he is given credit for.

Dude, do you even pay attention to LSU football or do you just come here to troll? You don't know about money, you really didn't pay attention to the hiring process. What exactly do you know?

I never cared for the Canada offense. He should never have been hired and it made me skeptical of Orgeron's hiring process. Hopefully this year's result will show he's learned in that area. He's off to a great start.

I don't care. Hell Miles proved we don't have to have a great coach to win here.

I would like to see three that are reasonable even with 20/20 hindsight. If fact it has to be with 20/20 hindsight because now we know a little more about Orgeron and about these other coaches.
Fuente is not a bad start. But I don't think his name got much traction at all on this board. I remember looking into him myself and thinking he would be a good possibility. But there was something with him that made him not possible. Alcoholic dating coeds or something like that I believe.

Do you know their agents didn't get calls? There's so much selective memory to this time period. You latch on to the last week and think that was the entire process. There was three months from when Miles was fired to when Orgeron was named the HC. That's a long time for agents to talk. Maybe no one wanted to work for Alleva, hell I could buy that given his hamstringing of Miles, but this notion that he had 15 to 20 more qualified applicants lined up at his door and pushed them all aside for O is a pure rant fairy tale.

I know that some people interpret coach speak differently than I do. Anyone who really believes a HC isn't going to have authority and input with what his DC and OC run is a moron.
Money...we had highest paid assistants from 2011-2016 but that doesn't mean we were paying more than Bama and Clemson. Also getting Jimbo could have cost us Aranda...Jimbo isn't coach O and he would decide what coaches he brings in or retains at LSU.
