Maneri only 1 natty with all this talent is not good, Bertman definetly would have won some with Nola and Bregman teams for sure

I always love the "How would Skip do?" threads when we have no idea at all how good he'd be with the dead bats and significantly more parity in the sport.

Roids and hot bats/balls would help now too.

So now we're comparing Mainieri to the greatest college baseball coach of all time... cool.

Well we complain Miles sucked because he wasn’t as good as Saban.

At least it's more sane than comparing him to Smoke.

Different times, 35 man rosters and change in bats would have hurt Bertman too.
No more gorilla ball.
No more 50 man rosters, where you can have tryouts for all positions and keep good players from other schools.

Haha we will be fine this year hopefully, I think Bertman would have won one with Bregman and possibly Aaron Nola

Would Skip have 5 national championships if he had to win 2 of 3 in the championship series?

If Bertman was coaching Mississippi St. and kicking Paul's arse then it would be somewhat valid... But Bertman retired and was the guy who actually hired Paul.

Bertman and Saban are 2 of the greatest coaches in their respective sports history and won multiple titles. Miles and Maneri are good coaches that won titles but because they didn’t win multiple titles with talent teams they are labeled unfairly as bad or mediocre coaches forever compared to 2 of the greats.
