When do we pull past USC?

Assuming he stays healthy, more than 8.
LSU should give revenue sharing ONLY to football, MBB, WBB, and baseball. NIL $$$ can go to other sports as donors designate.
Do NOT give less to WBB. That sport is drawing more positive national attention to LSU than any other these days. Our baseball MIGHT draw as much support as WBB, but WBB is a bigger draw nationwide than college baseball.

Why?
If he wins three titles in five years, someone is going ask his agent for an interview. I’m not saying he would leave for the Marlins or Twins, but an MLB team would be stupid to not pick his brain.
LSU and the new powers in place need to do everything they can to make sure he’s happy. He wants more updates and hopefully they don’t under deliver.

How was Woody the best fundraiser?

With Vitello gone, I like the over

Don’t worry y’all. Landry’s cousin T-mule just won the slow pitch tournament in Cut Off and is ready for the big time. We will be in good hands

This is my biggest concern. Everyone is so caught up with the FB coach hire, as they should be. Losing SW definitely concerns me for giving JJ what he wants to improve the program in terms of facilities.
I think JJ is good where he is with LSU, but the more he wins the more he will want to continue to improve things year after year.
To answer op’s question in the title, he could get to 4 or 5 realistically. Depends on how long he stays, which is why the fundraising aspect of the AD job is so instrumental.

I doubt it. The separation between the competition in CBB vs the MLB is VAST.
Vitello is a trial run. If he does well with SF THEN you will see MLB teams consider a college-only manager. Until then, Vitello is going to remain an outlier...even if Johnson has great success.
As for how many NCs does he win at LSU? I'd say 4-5.
1. No one is going to outspend LSU for resources because few, if any, schools care as much about baseball as LSU. Some will get close, maybe even match (Arkansas, Tennessee, Miss. St, Ole Miss, A&M). But none will exceed. That means Johnson will have a strong chance to get any great player he wants.
2. He's 48 years old with no children. I'm not saying that is a bad thing. It just appears he's dedicated his entire life/drive to being a baseball coach.
With those two things combined is it unrealistic he could get 3 more NCs in the next 12 years?

LSU needs to dump about $75m+ into the Box and it will be one less thing they’ll have to work on with Jay for 10 years.

All of these programs have actually outspent LSU when it comes to facilities.

I’m not sure what the number is, but you might be right. Outside of the box, he wants other things as well. Updated pitching lab, larger indoor field, etc…
Posted on 11/10/25 at 4:50 pm to The Hurricane
He could very well go back to back this year. Obviously, time will tell as the season unfolds. But if the pitching continues to get stronger throughout the season as it has, it’s a real possibility. If he does that, then he should get whatever the hell he asks for.

JJ was reportedly going to be on the AD search committee
Mulkey was too. Jay's an intelligent, cerebral guy that knows what it takes to be successful. LSU should seek input from him on the football coach search.

The Box needs to be completely reimagined, but LSU will never do that.

This is the most concerning thing. He should be No.1 priority on making happy after football. I just hope no one tries to balk at any of his requests because they believe LSU can do better than him.

He isn’t leaving unless something strange happens. He has literally been quoted he wouldn’t leave if the Yankees called.

Could not agree more.

Under.
Probably half that, actually. Half you spoiled fricks are going to be calling for his head next season if they don't make the championship series.
