My dad lived a few miles from the campus in the 70's, so I've heard of "Towson State" a few times.

Damnedest thing is that my wife told me. I pride myself on keeping decent tabs on I-AA ball and knowing even relatively obscure schools, but this one stumped me. Although not much into sports, she knew where it was because she has regular business in PA and flies in/out of the Baltimore airport.

Baltimore metro off the Beltway about 10 mins from downtown. I actually been there. Its actually pretty nice. also its where Phelps is from. Not as nice as Columbia MD but nice.
