parking garage will require state funding
Hotel rooms in TS would require Tiger Athletic Foundation funding

quote:But as DMC said the money for this type of project most likely would come largely from TAF. What other TAF projects would you prefer? I have heard alot of people say they would like to see the south end zone be closed in with luxury boxes. Personally I wouldn't mind that but something is going to have to be done about the dorms...they are looking like an abandoned government housing project.
But there are an untold number of things they could do even within the stadium with that money that I feel would be more beneficial.

This was specifically what I had in mind, though I'd like for the architects to do something amazing to surprise me.

I thought Alleva was already investigating this?

I just want to see something done before it gets so bad that they condemn the whole stadium

i lived in the south stadium dorms when they were new
no a/c , showers & toilets would have to be added for each room , AD is looking into doing something with them, $$$$$$$

EBR Parish is looking to build a new prison because we're overcrowed at the current place. Sounds like an ideal setting.

250 a night to stay in an 8x8 prison cell could be a tough sell.

no. stupid and pointless idea
yeah used for storage of animal feces. Would cost way too much money, and the reason they are not dorms anymore is cus they were a shite hole, and who the frick would want to stay there?

There are still rooms whether they use them for storage now or just keep them empty.

I believe have allot of asbestos in them, and that is a huge expense to abate.
I should start my own Asbestos removing company and submit a bid

For a night game, have a 10AM deadline requiring all people staying to exit the stadium.

What would be the purpose of this?
quote:There's no way to get into the stadium from the dorms. If there was, it'd have been "over utilized" back in the day.
Tailgating and keep all people who do not have tickets from "sneaking" into the game

They would probably have better success renovating the rooms and making offices that could be used by the state(university) and leased out. No need for showers and would only need an male and female bathroom.
The hardest thing in renovating the old stadium dorms however will be meeting ADA guidelines, which due to extensive renovation will also require all of Tiger Stadium to be in compliance.

Ignorant. You really haven't a clue.

I say LSU ought to turn them back into dorms. They added a lot to the game day experience with the signs, etc., the students would hang from the windows. However, I'm sure that practice would be forbidden in this PC world we live in.

I lived on the back end of Hatcher. We used to give the visiting team's players hell when they would get off their buses back there.
when does Breaking Bad start their new season?

we actually had our fan blowing out the window and had a towel nailed across the bottom of our door. Used to throw Brut Splash in AC intake!
