Article from USA Today about LSU's recruiting class. Sorry if this should be on the recruiting board or if it was already posted. Thought some might be interested.

quote:

When LSU head football coach Les Miles announced Kevin Steele and Ed Orgeron as new assistants to his staff last winter, the moves were met with rave reviews from the media.

Some suggested Miles had even put together a recruiting dream team together.

Six months later, LSU is ranked as the nation’s top college football recruiting class by 247sports.

quote:

“The thing about recruiting is it’s not one guy,” Steele said. “Now the head coach was certainly a factor, obviously. But as far as coaches go, it’s a team effort.”

quote:

“I think obviously given LSU’s need on the defensive line that Ed Alexander is a big deal,” Shurburtt said. “But what is over and above impressive is what the Tigers continue to do in the secondary out of state. You go to Florida and get one of the top corners in the country in Smith then hop over to Texas and get one of the top safeties in Monroe and that’s making a statement. Same thing happened with Jamal Adams and Kevin Toliver so this is a recent trend.”

Because the success of LSU's players like OBJ, PP7, Hill, Landry etc all brings great exposure. These kids come to LSU to get to the next level.

USA Today usually puts out some positive stuff regarding LSU. I enjoy reading what they have to say typically

Seriously, we don't really know what to expect come Sept., but where would this Class be Ranked if Brick and Cheif were still here?

Why do idiots keep repeating this nonsense when we've had a top 3 QB already committed for a year?
